Wrong address

Since we've lived here (Sept 2011) any broadband equipment (the hub, accelerator, etc.) have been sent addressed to the man we bought the house from, and certain other things need amending too. Miraculously we've actually received the items but it's only cos the postman knew the previous occupier.

I have written, phoned and emailed BT numerous times about this and still it's wrong - they are sending a new Hub and when I got the confirmation email it still shows the wrong address!! I am going blue in the face with this. It may sound petty but I am concerned we won't get new equipment due to this error.

Does anyone have any ideas or any routes I can take to get this changed once and for all? It ought to be so simple. Most grateful for any advice!

Phone BT again and tell them you want to cancel all services from BT, you are changing supplier.

You will get transfered from the original caller taking your query, just tell this one you want to cancel, you are changing for a better deal or whatever, when you end up getting transferred to the British BT worker trying to offer you a deal to stay, that's when you hit them with the real reason, tell them you need the things fixed right now.

You will probably be on phone for about 20 minutes, but it should work.

Thanks, sounds an interesting solution. I just hope they don't call my bluff and cancel everything though! (Our BB contract expires in August.)

I would post your problem on the BT community forums if I were you; https://community.bt.com/ They or a forum mod will see your thread I'm sure.
Or contact them via Twitter @BTCare
UK based help team take ownership of your problem till it gets resolved. I've always had great support from them

You're right. It's the Twitter contact that's worked!!

Brilliant! Glad to hear you're now getting sorted.
Either the BT community forums or Twitter is my method of choice always for help, rather than ring up and end up speaking to someone overseas.
