My what that "Moffat might"?”

Read my posts its a clear response, don't want t go around in circles explaining things that don't need to be.

Regarding you saying you were just "assuming" and do a "what if" that's fair enough but I was just using what we do know to suggest why that probably isn't the case, wasn't "demanding" you to back up your assumptions with evidence, as there would be none obviously, think your being a tad over defensive/sensitive there, I said you had no evidence just to make a point of the fact your just assuming not to challenge it, the thread was opened with he idea of speculation in mind after all.

Moving on, why do we assume Peter stayed, money and attention, free drinks, free gym membership

Little known fact: JNT's decision to stop supplying the DW cast with those Biscuits
is the true reason Tom decided to leave.

Personally, I think the whole story about Jenna leaving was part of a long-play publicity stunt to build viewers for the Christmas special and surprise everyone when Clara stayed at the end of the episode.

I don't think there was ever any question of her going. Moffatt clearly thinks there is still more to tell about Clara and one would assume Jenna is happy to stay on.

Your sentence I quoted from is clearly missing a word, so doesn't make sense. I don't have a Moffat. What's the missing word?

Its also speculated the reason why Christopher Eccleston left was because of the shortage of biscuits available to him and the crew at that period.

Its not missing a word, maybe you just don't like the way I talk I tend to write as I think and my trail of thoughts jump (its one of the many flaws my brain possesses)

Perhaps I should of broken it up and expanded/explained things more but I was just writing off the cuff, I said - "I was responding to your Moffat might of had things invested in the character that he didn't get to use" - so from when I say, Moffat, I'm talking about what you said.

Let me say it in a way that hopefully makes more sense - "I was responding to the part of your post that states that Moffat might of (as your assuming) had plot elements invested in the character of Clara that he hasn't yet used."

Hope that helps...... now where are my biscuits

Everything that was said, about Jenna deciding to leave, is correct. She did decide to leave, twice. Both times she changed her mind (Why? You'd have to ask her) and because she changed her mind so late, the second time, the first drafts of scripts (for series 9) had to be scrapped because, obviously, none of them contained Jenna/Clara

I just don't believe that version of events. Sorry.

Yeah, and Moffat's two part story to start the series must be a very different beast now it no longer introduces a new companion to replace Clara.

Nor me. Snide sarcasm about biscuits does little to persuade me either.

Well, it is true. I know people who work on DW and have worked on it myself

Its just a silly joke born from my first early post in this thread in response to the question raised by the title of the OP thread, not trying to persuade or distract from the truth or something you take things a little to personally (if you excuse my arrogance to say so)

People will read what's said by Moffat and Jenna and come to their own conclusions, as we all are, no right or wrong, nothing to rally against, ultimately only those that are involved know.

Urm. Well, ok then. Not sure what I gain from lying but hey, up to you what you believe. I was merely trying to help.

Her explanation didn't contradict Moffat's at all, she says her contract was up after Series 8 and then they started talks about when would be best storywise for Clara to go. Moffat's also said there was a bit of to-ing and fro-ing about the decision until she decided at the Last Christmas readthrough to stay for Series 9.

Peter and Jenna clearly get on so well, they can't rave about each other enough in interviews, Jenna has complimented Peter so many times and the truth is we may never know the complete reason she decided to stay but the word on the street is that she loved working with Peter too much, which is fine and good by me.

Yeah, you've only got to see them on the World Tour documentary where they're clearly having a ball in each other's company. I'm inclined to go along with this, that she loved working with Peter too much to leave. And that's fine with me too. Love Jenna!

She knows that if she leaves now she'll be out of a job for a while unless she is asked back to Emmerdale.

The longer she's on Doctor Who, the more recognition she gets, and when she's approached with a new job she'll leave. I suppose she expects to break America now that DW is big there.

She can't go back to Emmerdale yet because she's still in prison.
