Her music isn't revolutionary but the fact she hasn't had even a solo top 40 recently is crazy?

I do like one or two of her songs, but I think she came across as a bit of a laughing stock within the industry just before she released her album, that's the impression I got anyway, me personally, I just don't think her album nor singles were that great, nothing really stands out about her, I also think she comes across as pretentious and arrogant in interviews. I'm not big on her personality either..... I've never seen the xfactor video I don't want to neither, but I can only imagine how hypocritical she came across.

Funnily enough she calls the contestant in said X Factor clip exactly that! Massive case of pot and kettle with her.

Unoriginal music, unoriginal image and now we've found out she's not a very nice person. She might as well give up now.

Saturday night was a good song. Ironically I think the whole X Factor controversy might actually help her....No such thing as bad publicity.

Her first album was a fantastic pop album with some equally fantastic songs but i honestly don't think her label knew what to do with her so it was never promoted and ended up tanking, which all but set the stage for the second album to go the same way.

She's one of those artists who is very pretentious about "the art" of making music as well and takes it very seriously which doesn't help.

Yeah I get that! Having listened to her music for the first time today some of her songs are decent! I heard 'problem' on a show the other day and had no idea it was her! Also, 'free' and 'wonderland' could have been easy top 10s

I guess she just popped up at the wrong time and her personality sealed the deal

No such thing as bad publicity.
The likes of Alexandra Burke may disagree with you there...

I listened to her again after X factor and for me bad timing. It's true her music is far far too similar to others including her image and the climate for her wasn't right. And by the time she did come along Gaga and others were doing it bigger, better and backed by more promotion and better labels. she just missed the boat oh and she is a massive egotist and bitch.

I think her music is dreadfully produced but then so has a lot of some of the biggest hits in recent years. But i did find her first album was too gaga. Perfectionist to me is a poor man's The Fame.

There's nothing original or unique about her. Her image is nothing we haven't seen before. Her music is nothing fantastic. What seals the door in her flopping is the fact that she has a god awful personality...so pretentious and up herself.

I remember when Mirrors came out she was getting shaded constantly about being a Lady Gaga rip-off. No one took her seriously because of that and she didn't get any airplay.

Her music is still sick though. Wonderland and Kill My Boyfriend are great tunes.

i'll have to find the article somewhere and come back.
but last week it was revealed she had a sales increase on all of her singles.
though not a big enough increase to get her within spitting distance of the top 100 i should imagine.

i did start a thread a few weeks back saying how i still enjoy her music even after the x factor debacle.
she is a good artist imo, but there are many more out there who unfortunately just do not get the recognition.

She's a laughing stock. She’s cheesy, she’s disgusting. I personally find her artistically atrocious! I am embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence having to even dignify you with an answer of my opinion.

I agree. I think her first album
Was brilliant. It should have done much better than it did.

I'm not one hundred percent sure why she flopped because I used to like some of her music but I am sure the reason behind her flopping in the future. If you find somebody to be incredibly unlikeable then you're going to want to avoid giving them success and generally that's regafdless of how good or bad their music is. I'd say she's pretty much finished now
