Help needed please! (I have already googled it but cannot find the correct answer to resolve)

I have a Samsung Note 3 which I love. It came with emoticons already installed which are really cool 3 d like ones - a definite upgrade from my last phones emoticons. When I send them through Whatsapp they appear differently on the screen. On my screen they are the cool ones, but Whatsapp converts them to the old simpler versions. I have been through the Whatsapp menu to try and find settings for it, and I have been on to the play store and I have the latest version. I know it is only a minor thing but it is annoying me as I want to send cool icons !!!!

Simple answer is you can't change anything. WhatsApp uses the older style icons and any new ones you use on WhatsApp are converted to the older ones. Nothing you can do to change it.
