Heads up: There's a new channel with no name or number on COM7...

or possibly even two of them...

PMT 1016 appeared about 10am with nothing associated to it, now also PMT 1014 and an audio PID on 1101.

1016 does have video now (I think) but I'm not in a position to see what it is.

The audio on 1101 is some sort of Christian religious broadcasting, I can't easily identify which.

edit: that would be Trans World Radio

What is BT Showcase? as it only broadcasts from 3 to 4AM it appears to be a placeholder for something but why is the BT Sport 2 channel not being used, assuming BT is British Telecom!

I assume BT Showcase will be the channel that they'll air the free Champions League (I think?) games they're obliged to show for free.

It looks like there's a video and audio PID associated with BT Showcase between 3am and 4am - if anyone is in a position to see what they are showing that might add something. I'd expect it's some sort of demo roll.

Well if they do use it for Champions League, it will be very poor picture quality and a world away from the matches in HD we used to get from ITV.

I wonder if they will add a separate BT Showcase channel to DSAT too as a barker for their main channels? I guess probably not but you never know.

Presumably it will be on satellite too (probably by making one of the BT Sport channels temporarily FTA or something) - maybe even streaming from bt.com

Is COM7 still being rolled out. We still don't have it in Preseli transmitter area.

There are no plans to rollout COM7 to further sites, due to the current proposals to rearrange Freeview frequencies later this decade.

Yes, it is Rishtey Europe - LCN is 77. And as a bonus it is in stretchyvision. Not sure if they'll be allowed to get away with that on a national-ish channel for very long.

Anyone got airtimes for Rishtey? I would guess given it's part-Viacom owed it's timesharing with Viva?

Well, assuming they are timesharing, it's filling an empty space on COM7. No point adding stuff to COM8 unless COM7 is full.

But why even fire up com8 when they had space on com7? Just seems very silly.

Well that would probably be with viva - shame they dont take viva 24hr given the move to com7, as its not that bad of channel.
