it would be interesting to see what state the swaps are in after a while
I think this is where the hire agreement T&C's come into it - they are within there rights to withdraw those which are damaged so hopfully this will keep them half decent.

Stiil, you don't know where they've been....

I'm planning to keep mine and not swap it, unless it's a real emergency....

Maybe in some old man's front pocket in close proximity with his unwashed genitalia, just like that pound coin you took out of your purse to pay for your sandwich or cup of coffee? Btw did you wash your hands after handling your last pound coin?

I know this, but you can't really help it with cash. Also I try not to put coins near my mouth usually

I wouldn't advise putting a power bar near your mouth either, unless you want a shocking new hair style.

Although it will only be able to shock about 60% of your hair before it runs out

Texted the code at 0800 got the code, collected it from my nearest store at 1600. A great marketing idea. I already have a Veho charger v similar to the one EE offers, and a monster battery bank. The latter I take to festivals. I'll be well powered up for Rewind now!

Ive been swapping the chargers to see what happens, so far this is what ive discovered.
The staff perform no obvious check at all, just take your flat one and swap it for a full one, ive had Two faulty ones returned to me the bottom lights didnt work but the top one did where as they should all light up to show full, one with physical damage - a large crack on the side,
And one with hairs in the USB port, I'm not sure if they were human or animal - didnt want to know..

If you do swap Check that the one you are getting is in a good clean state, free from physical damage and will charge your device

Does anyone know how to get the code from an IPad? Unable to text 365 from it as it only lets me send iMessages but I should be entitled to one, customer services and the retail staff where stumped.

Thanks for that reminder for it is appreciated. I've got mine now and the power bar is something that I really could have used on my holiday last year!

Our local shopping centre had a ee display stand and they were giving these away if you chatted with them about your current contract
I'm on vodafone, he didn't try very hard to sell
I asked for two and no details taken
It recharged iPhone and my iPad fine from 50% and still had one bar
Takes about an hour to fully recharge the power bar
What I like is you can let it charge in your bag and still use it while charging

This is a great idea, I already know how useful this idea is because I already bought a power box for Androids etc from Maplins, if I'm doing protest coverage I can keep on Bambuser or filming for longer than you would normally on a single phone battery charge, take your phone anywhere far from a charger and you'll end up needing this.
That Maplins box was £25 and this is very nearly free.

The maplins box gives you about 2 or 3 times the normal duration of the phone battery (will depend on model and power usage etc), it will be interesting to see how this (almost free) gadget will compare. Luckily I'm on EE and can take advantage of this to get another one, I like the idea that if you're near a EE store and on low charge you can actually just swap for another power bar that's already charged up. You don't own it, which is a bit bizarre, but I'm a hoarder and will probably just pay the £5 to own it if I ever leave EE (which I might as Three offer unlimited 3G and 4G).

If you're on EE just get it, it'll save you from a lot of dead battery situations. Just remember to also charge this power bar too, unless you're always near one of their stores, which in my small town I won't be!

They won't easily get all these chargers back, I'm confident in keeping mine!

If you're on EE, text "POWER" to 365 and then you will be sent a code which can be used to claim one in an EE store.

You can't. Only option is to put the SIM into a dongle or MiFi type unit, or even a phone, to send and receive the text.

Apple doesn't support SMS with iPad SIMs.
