Thanks for that. It is actually Mel B who is facing the axe, rather than Cheryl. It seems to make more sense, than Cheryl facing the axe. Cheryl does need to get a tough category like the groups though. She cannot keep getting the girls and boys all the time.

I honestly don't get why and if they're going to replace Mel B with Tulisa then they're even more out of touch. Don't bring anyone back or yiu may as well get Kate Thornton back to host and get rid of Cheryl and get someone relevant

I agree , she needs a challenge this year , she was bored last year and it was very obvious she was not feeling her category . Kind of surprised to hear she is back though , i really did not think it was looking likely ....although from the reaction to her return today she can still get the media and the public taking ...and Simon loves publicity .

If Cheryl is indeed back (I like her but she needs to up her game this year and at least pretend to be enthusiastic) then Mel and Louis NEED to go. Changing one judge is not a re-vamp - changing two is. Also, please DO NOT bring back Tulisa. She's not relevant at all and is hardly someone the contestants should be looking up to. Her last single failed to reach the top 40, she's not seen as credible and if the show reinstates yet another past judge (after Sharon in 2013 and Cheryl last year), it will look stale, predictable and as though it is regressing.

Bring in FRESH BLOOD for the other two judges spots. A credible male who will draw in a strong audience and has charisma - Robbie Williams, George Michael - or an urban male artist - Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32 etc. Then the female needs to be a big personality since Cheryl is reserved these days.

Tulisa's latest single reached #25 on the sales chart. It was the streaming that pushed it out of the top 40.

Tulisa and Cheryl both delayed releasing their recent singles by months allowing the songs to be played on video stations and youtube ....how after months of that are people gonna want to buy on itunes ...where is the sense in delaying ...if people hear a song and like it they want to buy it then and there ....not pre order it and wait months .

I think replacing Louis is needed ....Mel and Cheryl work well together ....and Simon is obviously very close to Cheryl ....they just need a new male judge now .

They better not replace Mel, she was the best thing about last year. Cheryl was as dull as ever, Louis is a broken record that gets scratched more and more every year and Simon he's gone way too soft

This show has become tired and boring.

The only judge who should remain is Cowell but he hasn't got the balls to sling out Louis or Cheryl.

Simon has got to replace Mel with Demi Lovato - please make this happen. Demi and Cheryl are good friends, and the whole 'Dimon' relationship is electric. If it's possible, bring in Louis Tomlinson in place of Louis Walsh, and then you've got a current, fresh, youthful and fun panel of judges: Simon, Demi, Cheryl and Louis T. If Louis' schedule is too demanding, put Olly on the panel (good friends with all the judges, inc. Demi), and have Greg James / Nick Grimshaw join Caroline as the show's presenters.

You do realise that is how the UK release system works, right? The Uk has always premiered the songs and videos roughly around 6 weeks before the song is released, the idea is to allow it to build up radio airplay and have big opening weeks. I think that system is out of date in todays world, but it isn't just Cheryl and Tulisa, it is just about every single singer from around the world when they release songs here in the UK.

I don't think you need to be a big selling artist, Cowell isn't, but you can be a good judge and a good mentor to others which is just as relevant.
