I like Jahmene but I loathe that hair style. Shaved all round the sides with just hair perched on the top of your head. It's very unflattering, no matter who you are.

It is one of the most common hair styles for black boys.My son has had it since he was 9,he is 14 now.Even babies have it.You can even grow the long hair and make cornrows in it.Some curly perm it.Jahmene is mixed race so his curls are natural. There is nothing wrong with it.

The side shavings vary thou.

I am just looking at my son while I am typing with that hair style and wondering what the issue is lol

It is very interesting on this forum how much people dont know about black people's hair.Every year in the Big Brother forum there is some thread or other especially washing, why they dont wash it often simply because it is not greasy.lol

I said to all of you constantly that his claims of a second album were ridiculous. He kept hyping us about original material being released the year after but the sad reality is the label didn't have the faith in him to be a 'star' and wouldn't make the sort of investment they made into Rebecca Ferguson for example. Jahmene had an exceptional voice that could have delivered an amazing soul album that was released during the XMas period and promoted on the show but they finished him off with that awful covers album. It was obvious it wouldn't sell well and he would get dropped which is what i said even before it was released. I have said it time and time again, if an original album comes it will be independent or funded through Pledge Music. I dont get why so many X Factor contestants mess us around with constant claims of an upcoming album that never comes for years (ahem Rachel Hylton, Laura White, Ruth Lorenzo, Danyl Johnson etc). Do they not realize that the interest just won't be there so many years on. It's a real shame. Jahmene had real potential.

Until I read this, I still assumed he was with RCA. But just looked at the RCA website and he is no longer on it.

Sorry ucragirl, my view was nothing to do with what race people are. I know people of all races with a style like Jahmene's. It's quite popular at the moment, but I think it's unflattering, whatever ethnicity someone is.
