It's common knowledge that Dot killed him and therefore he faked his death. How come no one has questioned Les about his involvement? Especially his wife who surely would know he would have played a key role in the funeral etc.

Does seem odd how the show has forgotten about him when he was heavily involved when Charlie first turned up.

Ignoring the police though, do the square know about all this? Surely word of mouth would get around and his business would be in serious danger.

There is so much about him that is not explained....for instance......why was he in the park with Dona's foster mum...giving her a necklace?

I agree. But at the same time I'm glad when he's not on screen. Dull character and awful actor. Hope he goes after Paul arrives.

Mystery is not quite the same as things being forgotten though.

The only way he could avoid the police I suppose is if Dot has somehow convinced them she organised a fake funeral.

Dot never specifically spoke to the police about Nick's funeral. When they first came looking for Nick she merely told them that she had been told that he died and gave no details. I don't think it arose when they questioned her about his actual death.

Carol told Les that, when she and Charlie had gone to the police to tell them what Nick had been up to in order to help Dot, they did not mention his part in what happened. I assume that they claimed that Charlie had merely told Dot that Nick had died of a drug overdose and didn't mention holding a funeral. I doubt the police made further enquiries. In the unlikely event of anyone mentioning a 'funeral' to the police, Les could argue that he had organised a memorial service at Charlie's request and there was no body involved. As there was no death certificate or insurance claim I doubt that the police would actively pursue further enquiries. They have already charged Charlie with assisting an offender.

Didn't Charlie say that he'd kept Les out of it when he confessed to the Police.

I imagine he said that he got a body somehow (god knows how) and called Les to collect it and make funeral arrangements so Les didn't know he was burying the wrong man.

How they deal with death certificates, pink forms and everything else an undertaker needs to make the necessary arrangements - again god knows.

There are so many holes in this.

I thought the funeral was simply for show for Dot's benefit. It wasn't an "official" funeral so presumably no paperwork was involved.
