Jessie Wallace is a Fantastic Actress
Having just caught up on the weeks EastEnders I had to make this post.
Jessie's portrayal of Kat - damaged, broken, tortured - moved me so much. I could feel every last bit of her pain, she plays the dark and difficult material with such sensitivity. She is fabulous. The scenes from the Fridays episode were so difficult and harrowing to watch because they were so realistic in depiction. Flawlessly acted. Shane Richie was also excellent. |

I didn't realise Jessie was nominated at the soap awards. I'm off to vote for her right now.

Like i say all the time. She is just brilliant in every level. I think she should dump EE and go on to bigger things. She could easily have a career like Surranne Jones or Sarah Lancashire.

She has been outstanding in her depression/suicide storyline. Kat is such a complex character and Jessie always plays her so well but she's particularly played a real blinder this past week. Quote:

I've not been a huge fan of her material of late but recently she reminds me of why she was one of my favourites and her episodes with Zoe are still one of my all time EE classic faves.

Both her and Shane were outstanding last night. Just a shame the episode was ruined by that cheesy panto acting at the end from Matt Di Angelo and Karl Howman.

Agree jess is good but I'm hoping this storyline will see kat move forward instead of this constant merry go round with the same old I'm a dirty girl or I want a real man and her acting like a slapper. I'm sure jess is wanting the same.

I just caught up on last night's ep and she was amazing. Really good on her! And Alfie wasn't as insufferable as normal. They should really utilise lacey and jessie because they are up there with very difficult ability. the hello brother ending though ruined the ending though of the ep. Was really forced and cringey. It should have ended on kat story.

I thought it was strange that the tablets (sleeping tablets?) didn't manage to totally knock her out halfway through Alfie walking her up and down the kitchen.

I suspect Jessie would have been miming and the recording would have been totally autotuned.
Over Christmas I saw Jessie sing at the London Palladium on a programme hosted by Bruce Forsythe, it was clearly live and her singing was fabulous. I think she's sang live in a few musicals too, she's definitely a good singer, no miming are auotune needed. Her version of "As long as he needs me" gave me goosebumps, I think she's just a really talented lady all round. |

In my eyes, she's at her best when she has gritty storylines like this.

Oh well, I thought the producer might have asked her to mime while her previous autotuned recording was played. If she's a good singer, fair enough.
the video quality isn't great..but here you go. |
