Beyoncé debuts a new song on TIDAL.

Beyoncé premiered a new song “Die With You” and an accompanying video on Jay Z’s Tidal earlier this morning.
If there’s one thing that’ll get people to sign up for another music streaming service it’s exclusive Beyoncé content!
As of now, you can only watch the video after you sign up for Tidal. Check it out!

Pathetic, so unless you sign up for this service and basically get overcharged, you will be deprived of their music?

"I truly owe it all to my fans"

Ha!

Overcharged? Are you joking? £9.99 a month and you can listen to as much music as you want, artists actually get paid (unlike Spotify) and you also get exclusive tracks. It's £9.99 a month. An album can cost £12.

Um the "artist" won't get paid on the 9.99 option.

and I meant overcharged, as in you can get better elsewhere. But sheeps follow the herd I suppose.

Yes they willl. That's the whole point of the app...the artist actually gets paid for their work.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think £9.99 is cheap...you're getting access to so much music...one album can cost £12 to actually purchae. The sound quality is great, they're giving users exclusive tracks. But most importantly, the artist is actually getting paid for their work. It's ridiculous that people are moaning about the price...even if it was £30 a month it would still be worth it.

So because they are locked down on crap deals and the record label is taking the p out of them, they want us to pay more. they need to take it up with there record label not us! Its not our fault they signed a deal with the devil. The label will still be getting the same amount of revenue.
And wont this alienate them from their younger fans or people who don't have a credit card and perhaps cant afford to pay £10 or £20 a month to borrow some music. Every artist on that stage has a big enough fan base to now go independent and collect 90% profits instead of 15%…but they are mostly puppets.

Asking you to pay more? They're asking you to subscribe to a service that is no more expensive than Spotify, which many people already subscribe to. I don't see why this is such a big scandal for some people. It's just a streaming service, isn't it? Streaming is the future for the music industry.

The artists only get a fair share of revenue if you subscribe to the £20 a month service.
I could be wrong but im sure songs on spotify are not exclusive only if you subscribe to spotify. I think the future of the music industry is crowdfunding. Theres no money in streaming.
