EE: Elaine Peacock - would you like her to be a regular character?
Maria Friedman has recently tweeted that she'll be returning to EastEnders again soon. I know Maria has many theatre commitments but would you like her to be a regular character? she belongs in the vic

There is no need she works perfect as a recurring character.
Also it would be out of character to give up her beloved pub to move to Walford |

I think she works better as a recurring character, she is a bit full-on for a regular character, imo. Plus like zerothehero says, it would be out of character for her to leave her beloved pub.

I think it works having an authority figure that lives away from the square, who can come in to help in dramatic situations.
Elaine is good but I think she works because she comes and goes. She's very flamboyant and I wouldn't want there to be overkill. |

I really like Elaine she's lovely but she should just remain a recurring character though there's no need for her to be brought in full time. Her popping up every now and again to visit the Carters is very realistic.

No she's best just popping in and out, I like Elaine but she is very ott I think If I had to watch her regularly I would go right off her.
