So sad

Has Serena and Derwood gone for good?

What's the betting that Mo is pregnant and we have a Christmas arrival. Perhaps with Mr T back not long beforehand? I really hope he's not gone for a full six months, though.
Really thought Cara, Fletch, Raf and Serena would have been at the wedding ceremony, given that they were quite close to both Diggers and Morven on AAU and Cara is morven's flatmate! At least Cara and fletch were there for the drinks at the end.
That aside, completely brilliant episode.

Serena is back next week. Don't know about Derwood.

Oh, hadn't thought of a pregnancy. Yes, that's possible for Mo or might they want to do it with Morven if they're killing Arthur off?

I was applauding Mr T when he had a go at Mo - I've said a few times that Mo isn't very nice where Mr T is concerned as she has always known he liked her romantically and has tended to string him along a bit and/or use it to her advantage.

Fletch, Morven etc might not have been able to get away from the Ward if they were on shift. The whole thing was quite last minute, it's not as though the guests are going to have been able to book half days in advance as has been mentioned at past events like Sacha and Chrissie's wedding and Emma's Christening. Judging from Bernie saying she was finishing in 10 minutes (at the same time as the ceremony) and Jac leaving shortly after - they were probably nearing the end of their shift, hence not making the ceremony but getting to the Reception.

I'm a little surprised No mention was made of tara considering how similar the circumstances were (marrying with little no notice due to a terminal prognosis), plus Digby having gone to University with her and half expected Oliver to offer their rings when Dom didn't have them but I guess it wasn't really about them.

Well that episode finished me off, so emotional, could hardly stop crying.

I can see def see them doing the pregnancy storyline with Mo, especially after the whole storyline of her planning to go it alone, and then with Mr T's assistance earlier in the year. We are definitely due a pregnancy storyline for one of the main characters and they tend to like having early arrivals at Christmas on soaps/dramas, so that would fit in.

Was also half expecting a mention of Tara. Thought it would at least come up given the similarities and zosia's reaction to Arthur's illness. Or is this going to be one of those things where Ollie grieved for a long time, but now that he's with Zosia, Tara will barely be mentioned again? I hope not because it would diminish the time they spent focusing on that part of Ollie's character.

Such a sad episode! That hug between Dom and Arthur spoke a thousand words. I honestly believe this is going to hit Dom the hardest and it's going to be so heartbreaking to watch.

I am not always able to cry in real life.
But today tears were welling up in my eyes. Arthur and Dominic are, IMO, the most real people I have seen in a soap. A tragedy.

I know! Their friendship is so real, so genuine. This is going to really devastate Dom.

I would like to have heard the rest of Dom's speech as well.

I was so pleased that Mr T put Mo in her place. She always acts as if he is not good enough for her and treats him like an idiot. I was praying that she wouldn't catch up with him at the airport and my prayers were answered.

If I was in Mo's shoes I would be in their with Mr T like a shot. Yes he's not the best looking, yes sometimes he acts like a buffoon but he would treat you like a princess and seems so sweet and loving.

The Digby storyline is so sad but for some reason I cannot take to Morven and I don't know why. It might be because they seemed to rush their romance to make the Digby storyline seem even sadder and I never bought into their relationship. I care more about the relationship between Digby and Dom rather than Digby and Morven.

Agree with you on both points. Mr T is lovely!!

Also, struggle to buy in to the Morven and Digby storyline. I do think it's partly because it seemed quite rushed and a tad contrived. However, Dom and Digby's relationship is so moving and believable and I think Dom's reaction will be the most heartbreaking when the inevitable happens

That was tough to watch. Poor Arthur and poor Dom. Their hug was just heartbreaking. Like others I am so much more invested in the Arthur/Dom friendship than I am in the Arthur/Morven relationship. The actors are doing a sublime job but I don't know how much of it I will be able to watch, it's just so so sad.

I am glad that Mo got her just rewards regarding Mr T but again, like others, can see a pregnancy SL coming a mile off with an eventual reunion. I thought Jac was very supportive of Mo, far more than Mo has ever been of her.

I can't help wondering what Serena making the big mistake is leading to. I have been convinced for some time that she is leaving but Catherine is still filming apparently so I must be wrong about that.

Anyway, fictional character or not, I am just so sad about Arthur, it's really affecting me. I feel foolish admitting to that but that's how it is.

Amazing episode so glad i've got back into watching again after a year off!

I've always loved Dominic and Digby, love their friendship.

And Mr T, poor bloke.

Ben Hull really is an amazing actor.

I have a feeling that Serena making the mistake is leading to a classic case of her not being able to handle the 'double jobbing' of being deputy CEO and clinical lead on AAU. Hence, making way for Bernie Wolfe to take over as clinical lead and the commencement of a brilliant double act. I do think that they work very well together. Also, I take back earlier comments I made about Bernie's character. I didn't particularly warm to her on either Darwin or Keller, but I think she has been brilliant in the last few weeks when she's been on AAU.

Agreed re Arthur and Dom. Their relationship is just lovely and it's going to be so heart breaking! I love Dom. Digby is a brilliant, but I just don't see the chemistry between him and Morven. I've also noticed that there has been absolutely no mention about Digby's anxiety disorder since his cancer diagnosis. Given that it was only just over six months ago (September/October) that he was diagnosed with GAD and put on fairly strong medication I would have thought they would have at least mentioned the effect this diagnosis was having on his anxiety, but it appears it has been completely forgotten about... Odd, as it was a fairly long running and very recent storyline.

Also, thought Jac was a brilliant support (in her own unique way) to Mo last night. You could see that Jac genuinely cared for Mo and wanted to see her resolve things with Mr T. Which is probably more than Mo deserves. That's Elliott, Ollie and Zosia and Mo and Mr T who Jac has tried to assist in their love lives now!!

Me too! He was considered 'eye candy' when on Hollyoaks years ago. I think it's the bafoonish type character he plays which can lead people to think he's not the romantic hero type. Personally I think that he is lovely! Ben could definitely play a romantic lead as a different character.

Don't get me wrong I think he is attractive but just not drop dead gorgeous. As I said in my post Mr T's personality and wonderful character would have won me over

I am hoping that Mr T comes back with a gorgeous swede in tow, then Mo will definitely see him him for what he is. Way too good for HER

I haven't been on here for a long time, but just popped in to post a link to my review and see what everybody thought of last night's episode. Like Collins1965 and others, I think it's going to be Dominic who breaks my heart in this storyline. The friendship between him and Digby has been a lovely thing. The scene a few weeks ago when Dominic had to tell Digby he had secondaries in his lungs was almost too sad to watch. Not sure I can cope with whatever might happen next week

Oh, Diggers! I care about his relationship with Dominic and his relationship with Morven. I think maybe his relationship with Dom has made more of an impact, though, not only because it's genuinely touching but also because it's quite unusual to see a close friendship between a gay man and a straight man depicted in 'soaps and continuing dramas'. You could argue there is Aaron and Adam in Emmerdale, and I do like that friendship, but I think they were friends before it was decided that Aaron was to be gay. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm strong enough for what's ahead.

Welcome back clover

Yes, it will be very hard to watch Dom's heart breaking over Arthur

Their friendship has been a beautiful thing.

I have two female relatives who treated their husband/partner appallingly. Just like Mr T, they worshiped the ground these women walk on but they were treated like dirt and were hurt in the end. I wouldn't want that for the lovely Mr T!
