Same with me. I really disliked Dom especially but now I think he's great. The characters in Holby are more rounded than in most soaps.

So, in a way Hanssen is a real Dr Love? My crush on lovely Henrik grows evermore. Some lovely scenes between him and Arthur showing his more caring side. He even tried to force a smile out.

I love Arthur and Dom. Dom is going to heartbroken when Arthur dies. Fab acting as usual by Rob and David.

On a side note i really like Kara and i hope she doesn't leave.

I'm still gutted that they are (almost certainly) killing Digby off but at least they are pllling the stops out for him as an exit - unlike previous leavers who haven't haven't even had their adult children turn up for their funeral - yes Holly Cullen, i'm looking at you!

TBF, whilst i've not thought much of Holby for nearly 3 years now, they do seem to have a certain amount of respect for the past re name checking characters when it would be normal to do so and even getting actors back for cameos - James Hope turning up and Joseph and Donna being mentioned when Elliot had his operation as one example.

It's utterly convincing, isn't it? I'm really sad about Arthur going, and Dom won't be the same without him.

Yes me too. In some ways it is a bit fan fictionny as it is something that has been the source of many stories since her brief appearance in 2010, bit it is an obvious storyline to pick up with a lot of potential (both good and bad) for Jac without repeating relationship crises, bad mother, back stabber at work route. And hopefully the new character will be interesting in their own right.

Rob is such a brilliant actor that I really wish they had made a return possible for him. Although, I have to say that the acting and writing for Digby has been outstanding over the last few weeks. Plus his relationship with Dom has been one of the best double acts ever. I'm a little sad that we haven't had a few more scenes with him and Zosia, though.

I totally agree with all you say, especially the ending for Arthur as you described. I can only guess that Rob wanted a definitive end for the character with no hope of a return

Digby will join the likes of Penny, Maddie and Diane, brilliant characters that should never have been killed off

Oooh! I knew about Diggers 'cousin' from another department but not the other two although we have been speculating on here for weeks that they should.

Look out in the next two episodes because Arthur will be appearing in fancy dress as a famous amateur sleuth.

On a side note this is pure speculation but the Holby production are good at getting cast members 'blue ticks' on their twitter profiles and after Mr T's 'last' episode he suddenly got one so I think he will be back after a break in 7 to 8 months time.

I am wondering whether they might actually send the two of them away travelling or elsewhere for his last few months and therefore we won't actually see his passing on screen?

I wondered that too but seeing as they have made the decision to kill him off I can't see them not milking it for all it's worth until we are all left in sobbing pools of tears on the floor
