As someone else has said, Serena has really come into her own lately. I was always on the fence about her but in the last few episodes I'm finding her very likeable. I still think she and Ric have great chemistry but with HQ dipping in and out of it as he does now I guess they can't go there.
And I thought that Fletch and Dixie looked very natural together; I really do think that he worked better in Casualty, just as I will always believe that Connie is a far better character in Holby than she is in Casualty. |

I have been a huge fan of Alex's since The Bill but Fletch really annoyed me in Casualty after he had an affair with Tess so I think he works really well in Holby. We're seeing the Fletch we lost in Casualty for a while. |

I'm sure that somewhere in the annals of Holby City history there's a character whose return would have been less welcome than that of Fake Doctor Oliver. I just can’t think of one right now. I’ve never quite forgiven Henrik for the way he covered up Oliver practising medicine illegally, after shafting his sister to save his lazy ass, and after he’s finally sacked years after he should have been…now they let the twerp back in. And with Elliot acting as chief cheerleader he’ll probably be around for a long time, no matter how useless he is. Is he just there to give audience members so inclined something nice to look at? Because the appeal is lost on me.
Good to see Henrik back though, although the episode is oddly reluctant to admit that from the outset given that we’ve already seen him. And it’s nice that instead of arriving with a flourish he just calmly walks in and starts giving orders as though he’s never been away. One oddity: Guy gave up CEO because he wasn’t allowed to continue as a surgeon otherwise, yet Henrik is apparently called away to do an operation at one point? I’d have liked Zosia’s reaction to Annabelle’s news to be a bit more understated (but I guess she’s got bipolar as an excuse). Henrik leaving Guy quaking in his boots and trying his hardest to show his is bigger (and failing) after so long playing King of the Castle is great. I'm probably the only person not ecstatic to see Hanssen back. He had his time. If things were so good in his life, why come back? Another that lacks respect for family but is over looked because he's liked. There's another character on the show dotes on his daughter and would do anything to make sure she's happy and loved but that gets ignored because he isn't universally "liked" |

There seems to be a typo on my Sky+ synopsis for tonight's episode, it says Adele intervenes with Mo and her dad, surely it should say interfere after all it is super HCA we're talking about

I read that and nearly cried, the thought of her being front and centre in any episode really annoys me
![]() ![]() ![]() She sticks her nose into everything. I wish she would get fired for getting Clifford's personal info from confidential patient information. But no, she will get a promotion instead, no doubt. |

I think that with Adele, some of the production team seem to have been looking on here. I think they intended her personality to be endearing, but for whatever reason it hasn't been. It can't have escaped the attentions of the production team that she is very disliked. In the last couple of episodes she's been just as annoying as ever, but they seem to be trying more to make her annoying on purpose, rather than constantly reinforcing how wonderful she is. Mo was furious with her for what she did with her dad, and given that she's described tonight as 'interfering', I feel like the production team have realised that the only way to get anything out of the character is to make her annoying on purpose. Otherwise they'd have to either continue winding us up (which they obviously don't want to do), write her out of the show (which may cause issues with Letang's contract) or give her a complete personality change (sloppy writing).

Count me in I cringe whenever a stoyine on Darwin features St. Adele too heavily
Of course we're supposed to think that Oliver is being horrible and mean for pointing out that she should just do her job and it is illegal to look at Patient's notes and use information found there. But she "just wants to hold onto someone she loves" so that's okay then. |

Oh and Oloiver sees the error of his ways and allows St Adele to do as she pleases, and it thus rewarded by being told he's not 'too bad' when he takes the pole out aka ignores all the rules and let's Adele be.

It was almost as if Ollie had been reading the forum, especially printing the job description which shockingly doesn't include heart surgery, law or astrophysics. Shame he backed down in the end.

Get rid of Adele pleaseAmazing that this is threatened after just a couple of weeks whereas the situation with Jonny, Bonnie and Jac (when Jonny was at time actuvely working against Jac) and then the custody battle went on for months without Jonny (and it would have had to have been Jonny as Jac was a CT Consultant) being threatened with having to move wards. |
