I really don't like Isaac. He seems a bit cold and calculating and condecending (and all other bad C words haha!)

The moping about Bernie (And the others laughing at Serena) is driving me mad. IMO it's very out of character for her. She loved Robbie The Bobby but she didn't behave like this!

Eugh Ric as CEO. I was hoping he'd be away much longer, can't warm to Ric, Ollie or Zosia.

Okay, he eventually did a selfless thing after Jac sat him down and pointed out to him what an a***hole he is. The rest of it felt less like him trying to protect her and more like him imagining up dangers so he could swoop in and play the hero when she didn't actually need him at all.

Anyway, today, and there's a distinct feeling at present of storylines only appearing in every other episode, as we pick up on the Guy/Tristan/Zosia and Morven/Aiden storylines from two episodes ago, while the Ric/Jasmine, Oliver/Zosia and Serena/Jason/Offscreen-Bernie storylines from last episode have pretty much completely disappeared. As a result, I found myself a bit bored. The Guy storyline had promise but just kind of petered out, although I guess there'll be consequences further down the line. Guy gets offered a shot at redemption but fails to take it, as he finds himself in a situation that troubles his conscience but ultimately decides to look out for number one. Meanwhile, we get the Dominic/Isaac borefest over on Keller. Dominic has a point about Isaac not liking him for who he is but he does need to grow up instead of expecting there to always be someone there to do the hard stuff for him: As it stands, he doesn't seem to be ready for an adult relationship.

Morven's storyline was better, although again it kind of fizzled out when it got too close to breaching professional boundaries. I don't know if we're going to be seeing Aiden again but it feels like we are, so again maybe this is mostly set-up.
I think the Guy, Zosia, Ollie, Tristan, Jasmine story is going to come to a head next week.
Spoiler

This Tristan storyline is headed fir a big climax which will involve many characters I suspect.

One little quibble, less than 2 years ago Patsy talked to Jac about the difficulties of a transatlantic career, esp for a woman with kids and hiw she managed hers with her ex. So have they just tetconned that? Forgotten she is a divorcee with two teenaged boys? Or is TristAn a recent, second husband? Not how it has come across with him having a long standing mistress.

Was Serena in love with Robbie? I don't think she was. She liked him, liked the attention, but not love. What she feels for Bernie is different, new and painful. I think.

I really enjoyed last nights ep, all the storylines were strong and there is definitely a sense of an exciting finish building.
I like how Holby have main characters pop up for just one line even if they are not in the rest of the ep. It was a little treat last night seeing Mo and Jac - even if only once - and gives the sense that there is lots going on in the background. In fact the whole ep last night felt very busy featuring most of the main cast.
Not sure what to make of Issac, is he an emotional bully or is Dom just annoying to live with? I kind of wanted them to work so not sure about this direction, but there was always something a little shady about Issac.
Serena was much cheerier this week which was nice!

I am inclined to think that Isaac is a bit of an emotional bully/control freak. We've seen evidence of that in various subtle ways.

Whilst I don't think that Serena was in love with Robbie, I am finding her behaviour at the moment to be completely out of character. She is far too professional to be spending her entire working life moping after Bernie, to the extent that her colleagues are all laughing at her. Even if Bernie is the love of her life!

Plus based on what has actually happened between them thus far (a kiss and Bernie running off at the first sign of drama) I find it even less believable..

I'm presuming that she will return just in time for the Christmas episode.

Totally agree about Issac LS - he is going to be a nasty controlling partner I fear. Run, Dom, run!!

Serena is just being so annoying and unprofessional, get a grip, woman! (of Bernie , if that's what it takes )

Enjoying the Tristan SL although he and Patsy are not suited in the slightest. I'm finding Selfie tolerable these days which is ironic.

Good strong episode I thought.

I was wondering if there'd been any hint before that Tristan and Patsy were married and thinking maybe I'd forgotten something. So it really has just been pulled out of nowhere?

It was mentioned in his first episode I think but I didn't quibble that too much as people do remarry and it could have happened recently. But, it seemed to imply they'd been struggling on for years, with her knowing about the mistress yesterday.

I just want Morven to be happy. Arthur is barely cold, but still. Much better than last week.

Bernie needs to come back to move Serena along a bit. She's a bit stuck and one-dimensional at the moment.

BIB - I like to forget that Digby is dead. In my alternate Holby universe he is off doing Napoleonic Wars re-enactments with Chantelle as his Josephine.

In that universe Penny is alive and well and living with the hunky heart transplant guy; Maddie is also alive and well and working side by side with Dan Clifford; and Diane is also alive and happily married to a rich and successful Ric Griffin look alike who adores her.

Joseph Byrne has also divorced Jennifer, having realised that Jac is the only woman for him and is just biding his time to come back and claim her so that he, she, Harry and Emma can live happily ever after.

Sheer bliss

Don't forget Victoria Merrick from that list. I like to think she went off to the States with Alex Adams, to carry on training under Anton Meyer (who I really wish would come back, even just for a guest appearance) and that she's now living happily ever after in the States with an Alex lookalike.

Was that the one was stabbed by a kids father. I remember that from years ago. And that scottish woman was in it too. Siobhan something.

Yeah, that's the one. She was in the first few years of Holby -- the first staff death!

When watching Tutenkamun on ITV (dreadful btw) I was struck by the actress Amy Wren who played Lady Evelyn. She is facially a dead ringer for Serena imo. If they ever decided to recast the role of Elinor she would be perfect to play her!!

Anyone else sick of Jason sticking his nose into things that should be purely medically professional concerns?

She's already been recast once 😂.

Have to say I've switched off from Holby, which makes me sad. Last time I had a dip like that it was around Hanssen's arrival and it wasn't until after Christmas of series 14 did I appear back as a regular viewer..... I hope I'll be back one day, but it's been about 2 months and I'm not missing the show

Yes! I know he doesn't understand boundaries, but every time Serena loses her temper or gets impatient with him, she ends up apologising to him instead of explaining. She needs to sit down with Jason and set boundaries for him, as he doesn't seem to be capable of doing it himself.

Mind you, I appreciated Jason's comments about Serena's drinking habits. It's about time someone said something to her.

Oh, and am I the only one who thinks Serena finally got an answer from Bernie, but Jason was reading it and isn't necessarily going to tell Serena about it?

As for Ollie, it's a shame he couldn't man up and just tell Jasmine he didn't want to be with her, instead of messing her around.

Finally, if you're going to invade the office of a man you know to be both violent and ruthless, perhaps you should take someone with you to act as lookout?

I actually really liked this episode, it kept me gripped. Next week looks to be the conclusion of everything and possibly Guy's exit. It was nice to see all the storylines pull together (although I did wonder if it was almost going to be a Who Killed Tristan? as everyone seems to hate him, understandably.), and it's going to be interesting to see.

I'm glad that Jac's in it next week, as it felt like she was missing with the whole power play and Tristan Wood story.

Well done, Zosia, for looking for the passport. Shame the rapist had to attack you.

Robbie, Serena and Jason would make a nice family unit.

Some good acting this evening.

I was gripped and stunned by that ending though as soon it was revealed that Tristan raped Jemmima then I thought he would rape Zoisa so good on Zoisa for acting in self-defence.

I hesitate to say this as I'm aware it could be taken the wrong way and I fully support all ways of helping the disabled into work and mire integration with society in general.

Jason is clearly intelligent and would probably be brilliant in many roles but I don't think a Porter is one of them. No structure or routine and too much contact with people, both Patients and Relatives who are upset and vulnerable and might not be able to cope with his blunt, truth telling manner.

I agree. Interpersonal skills aren't Jason's strong point and it was completely wrong for him to give a patient their results directly, instead of giving them to the doctor like he'd been told do, irrespective of his relationships with the doctor and the patient. And then it turned out to be the wrong patient's results, which is even worse, and could get the hospital sued. It's not that he can't do the job, it's that he needs clear boundaries and direct supervision.

Good to see Ric back in the thick of things once more.

Glad Jasmine finally said sorry and also told Ollie where to go.

Jason is annoying me. As others have said he needs clear boundaries put in place which Serena is failing to do.

Felt sorry for Guy when Tristan's girlfriend turned on him. He looked like a hurt lost little boy.

Same here. I haven't watched it since Digby died. Killing diggers off was the final straw for me. I just read about what's happening in this forum.
