Yes, Fletch's seeming disregard for his children did occur to me too.

I thought the same thing too. He did it to ease his own guilt over Adele. He never once considered his children would be orphans.I don't watch casualty so I don't know what he was like in that but I don't like him as a character. He's arrogant and selfish and this cheeky chap making bad decisions is getting old.

And Fletch always enjoyed his gambling? Not sure what the odds were for 4secs or 7 secs? Would need to know how many of each type were still in circulation.

Even 7 seconds to pick it up, run and get rid of it seems ridiculous.

To be honest I found the episode quite boring.

Must admit as soon as I saw 'Ron' last night I thought he looked like someone from The Bill, but until I found out 'Rons' actor name and browsed the net, I couldn't quite put my finger on who it was until later in the episode, but knew I recognised him, even if at first I didn't recognise the voice (oh and I hope they don't kill off Fletch, I like him, though I think part of that is also because I'm currently watching The Bill and like him in that too).

Is it bad that I wanted Guy to blow up with that guy? Man, I just can't stand him at all. It would also be awful if Fletch's kids became orphans. It's bad enough that they've already lost their mother and losing Fletch would be the final straw. I hope he survives this. He tried to redeem himelf but put ultimately put his life at risk. Hopefully he doesn't die though.

Its a backdoor comedy pilot! Raf and Cara inherit the kids and move in together alongside their clumsy Shiraz loving aunt Serena (can't call her a grany!) With their strange druged up cousin living in the basement. We follow the 'hilarious' lives of the kids as the grow up and follow them through their extensive therapy sesions. But wait! don't forget to lookout for special appearances from Rafs stalker Lucy!

Re Fletch - whilst it doesn't look good for him I'm swaying towards thinking they would be unlikely to kill him off leaving his four children as orphans. I think that would be a bit much for holby. Particularly when they had such a focus previously only the effect her mother's death had on Evie.

What I didn't understand about the episode was why Fletcher was using the approach of telling Ron of how wonderful Selfie was. Surely it would have been better to have talked about patients who they thought would pull through but something unexpected happened and they subsequently died.
