Seriously?! I don't know how I feel about that. I wanted her to return healthy. Hopefully it will be like Oliver, and she'll pull through.

Speaking of Oliver, didn't he have to have follow up treatment after Elliott used his new gadget on him? Maybe I missed it, but they never mention it at all.

yeah he would have had outpatient treatment and persumably still has checkups. I presume he should be on anti rejection meds. Anyway it's not like they show the outpatient clinics. It was mentioned when he first came back.

What happened to that patient they operated on before the explosion?

Loved it. Rather more sedate than a lot of their stuff.

Spoiler
no Elliot.... So he must be off (only scenes for next week. Interesting storyline with William and Mo, Cara and her husband, Guy, Digby, love for Dom. Presume Ollie and Zosia end up together because I presume that was her response to being invited to Jess/Adele wedding.

He was lying on the floor with blood near his head. Anybody who has had a cut on the scalp will know that he scalp bleeds like mad and generates a scary looking amount of blood.
They could have alluded to that and at least stitched up a cut to his head though but then since when has Holby city or Casualty cared about being realistic?

I think the new nurse was a practice nurse in Doctors right at the very beginning. I think her name was Anoushka in that.

Yes, I agree. I wanted to smack her when she kept going on to Sacha about Essie's wild past and treating him as if he was second best.

That was very much a filler episode, wasn't it. But I loved Dom standing up to Hanssen at the end to protect his pal Digby - he has come such a long way as a character. I absolutely love him.

Thank goodness Zosia put Seb out of his (and our) misery.

I hope that's the last we've seen of seb. I thought he was very creepy and manipulative last night

Yes, i was saying that about scalp wounds on another forum last week. Not that head injuries aren't often very serious (indeed life threatening) and should always be checked out but fairly minor wounds can produce a lot of blood, thus making them look much worse than they actually are. I managed to fall over and cut my forehead a couple of years ago and there was blood everywhere - it just wouldn't stop and the Nurse who put the butterfly stitch in explained it to me.

Yes, she was in the early cast of Doctors - had an affair with one of the doctors and then either his wife found out and divorced him or she died. She was also in EE in a minor role about 20 years ago - something to do with Mick's band i think and more recently Hollyoaks as Martha Kane.

True, I am a little nervous in case they make her different this time or generally use her poorly. Still so excited to see her, though. I think she's desperately needed at the moment because there are so few characters that I care that much about, and no major across the board favourites, which I think she is. Hanssen has been a little underwhelming because he hasn't been in it much, but he's not been out of character or anything, so I think/hope that bodes well for the aforementioned character.

I found last night's episode to be very disjointed and completely lacking in continuity. It was meant to be a follow up from the hostage drama and the subsequent bomb blast, yet everything was back to normal 5 minutes later!

It was clear last week that Fletch had been significantly injured (as you would expect being that close to a bomb blast!) yet he was up and about two minutes later with hardly any significant after effects. I had a fair idea that the person being operated on was not Fletch, as we pointedly did not see his face, but I would have expected Fletch to have been significantly injured after what we saw last week. I did not expect them to kill him off, mainly because I could never see the children being left as orphans with no follow up but there was actually little mention of him afterwards in the episode which was rather strange.

In addition, Ollie and Zosia were both injured enough to be knocked out, even if it was only momentarily, and there is absolutely no way that either of them would have been allowed to continue working later that day. You'd actually have expected them to have been kept in as patients for observation afterwards, but it appeared that they weren't even examined!

When leaving Hansenn and Serena did not even mention the fact that there had been a bomb blast in the hospital earlier that day!

Speaking of Hansenn and Serena - did anyone else find their reaction to Digby's admission of his anxiety disorder particularly cold? I know that stealing the medication was unforgivable, but he was clearly crying out for help when he went to speak to them about his condition and they responded by putting even more pressure on him. I'm also finding Hansenn's attitude to Dominic rather annoying. He is clearly putting his personal feelings ahead of his professional position. You could understand him not personally liking Dominic after what happened with Malllick, but he should at least be attempting to be professional about it, rather than terrorising Dominic.

I hate to say this but I really am not enjoying Hansenn as much second time around. I loved his first tenure but I just don't think that they are writing him properly at the moment and I think he is being wasted as a result.

On a more positive note, I am growing to really like both Dominic and Zosia as characters. Dom has really developed and Zosia was quite moral in telling Seb about the kiss and then finishing with him even when she thought things would not work out with Ollie. I also think that Zosia and Ollie work really well together and that she is bringing way more out of his character than Tara ever did!

This, but then i didn't really like his first stint much.

I'm not sure that they were that out of character with Digby. They've both shown themselves to be quite ruthless in the past when dealing the greater good of the Hospital and a Doctor taking drugs whilst on duty is a huge issue for the safety of the Patients and financially Should anybody find out about it and sue. Joseph wasn't treated much better when he was in a similar position in Seasons 8 and 9 - he was ordered to take leave to try and sort it out by Elliot when he was just aware of it being an OCD with no drugs involved and then banned from Surgery when the chairman was told and that would have been worse except the Chairman was his Dad.

I think we've just got bused to blind eyes being turned with Zosia but that was Guy and Colette being extremely unprofessional. I suspect that the reaction to Digby would actually be truer to what would happen in real life.

I thought it was really obvious that it wasn't Fletch they were working on at the beginning because of the way they kept saying 'he' rather than his name or showing the body as they usually do in any resus or operating scenes. So, to me it was rather a clunky and obvious way to create 'tension' which failed. Of course i don't much like Fletch anyway so the fact i wouldn't have cared if he had died wouldn't help with that!

I think both next week's returns are one offs - at least for the moment.

My better has complained every time he has been on screen. Not sure whether its the actor, the character or the writing but there is definitely something quite unsettling about him.

Having watched the preview I have 2 concerns:

What is going on with Digby re the
Spoiler
cut on his arm and fainting and

Is that new nurse going to fall for Sacha and try to come between him and Essie??

Also - SO good to see Jac again!!

I'm a transplant patient and because of my anti-rejection medication, I have to have regular blood tests to keep an eye on the levels. I also have six monthly clinic appointments so yes, although my situation is slightly different, he would definitely be under outpatients, probably for life as I am.

I don't think we have. It really feels like they're going to go with an abuse/stalker storyline with him.

Spoiler
But then again Carra's relationship looks to be a physical one, with undercover cop husband knocking up someone. (Raf with save her, start of new relationship)

I'm predicting that new nurse is jealous of Essie and Sacha and welcome on to him/steal the'big teddy bear' for himself'

It was hinted with Guy that Jessie started out in surgery before switching to anesthetics. He's in red scrubs so I think he goes back joining kellar (he better not be a consultant and nothing to do with the writers not knowing what to do with an anesthetist )

Looks like the Proff turns down the job and satys PLEEEEEEEASE!

Digger's and Dom caravanning (Davids aleady got a pic on his instragram)

MR TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!! (He's someone that can pull of a high vis jacket)

Mo's friend dies and the surrogacy story comes back (kidnapping?) Mr T to the rescue.

Adele returns, I did post a warning a while ago!

One big thing missing from the trailer was where is RIC GRIFFIN! Stay tuned for more breaking news on Griffinwatch
