I don't mind losing the cast shots, never really saw the point of them once they'd taken the actors credits away and quite like the tracking through the body but could do without the generic 'holding hands, people hugging in corridor' shots.
Yes, Jac does like some people - she likes Sacha, she likes oliver (most of the time), she liked Jonny, Joseph, Elliot, Sam, Spence (most of the time) and if anything, hating herself is more of a problem than loving herself.
Zosia worked directly with her for approx 12 weeks 2 years ago and was a nightmare herself much of the time due to her insistence on wanting to become a Psych rather than a surgeon and it was pointless getting to know Jac as "she'd be going on Maternity Leave" soon plus of course her undiagnosed Bi-Polar.

Have they changed the uniforms? I'm sure the AAU ones didn't used to have that little button thing on the breast pocket. I think it has replaced the NHS badge that used to be sewn on near the bottom.
I took my eldest into hospital recently for a minor throat op and was scandalized by staff who seem to be too busy to do small talk or resolve some of our family problems.

It feels like it's written with emotional intelligence and not sensationalist storyline. I'm enjoying it! And yes beautiful!
Took me a while to realise they were new titles because it usually takes me a few seconds to pay attention to the fact it's starting.
I dunno, that felt like a blatant rehash of the previous episode (two of the wards even had the same patient!). The Jac/Zosia storyline seemed to follow the same route and beats as the Jac/Oliver storyline from previous, with junior doctor more interested in proving themselves than doing their job, Jac giving them a load of put downs, junior doctor managing to not mess up completely in theatre and a wrap up office scene where they realise they've got Jac's approval. Zosia was as annoying doing it as Oliver was.
The Dom and the plumber storyline drags on although at least they've kissed, which is probably breaching all sorts of professional ethics. I'm actually curious about Adele being on Keller, she's pretty much exhausted her potential on Darwin so it creates a new dynamic. Her suddenly being a student nurse (although I had to keep squinting at her name badge to make sure that's what she is) is reasonable by Holby standards, it was the next logical step.
The Arthur/Morven storyline caught the attention most after frustratingly treading the same water as last week for at least half its length. We got the satisfying emotional pay off that last episode lacked, with them both learning to appreciate the other's qualities, plus more Keith Barron. (The jump from Arthur and Fletch going to look for Hugh outside to appearing as if by magic on the stairwell was a bit jarring though.) And Morven likes Arthur's glasses! She seems to like other things about him too, which could go either way, but hopefully she'll convince him to start wearing them again.

So I was wrong about Jac and Fran knowing each other previously. Jac certainly gets up Fran's nose doesn't she. I love how Jac's "team" are so quick to demean her to an unknown nurse. it's Jac against the world round 257.
Love Dom with Lee but you can see the signs already, can't you.
I thought Morven was a bit up herself with Digby in the beginning but loved her putting his glasses back on at the end.

I'm not sure i'd completely discount Jac and Fran knowing each other from before. Fran might just be holding her cards close to her chest, making sure it is the same person (remember Jac changed her name which might confuse Fran slightly) or trying to find out if she has changed. And Jac may well not remember every kid she crossed paths with, or even bullied from her teenage years. Plus, people can change physically. Serena didn't recognise Imelda due to her having lost weight and they'd worked together a lot more recently than 25 years ot so.
If it's not that, I think it must be that Fran is close to somebody that has been hurt by Jac so knows her by reputation. Her reaction was just so immediate and bad compared to how she usually is, it has got to be something from before.
Yes, i agree. I've always been stunned by the lack of any respect shown by Jac's team towards her, both to and about her. Dislike her personally, fine but she is still a consultant ffs, something that takes years of study and experience to achieve, and she deserves a modicom of professional respect for that if nothing else. And a lot of the things she gets moaned about are fair enough - like stahh stopping for small talk. They are there to work, they have breaks and a staff room and cafe to use to catch up socially. Even if they do have a lull in work, it sends a really bad image to Patients and relatives to have them standing around in groups chatting about their personal lives or last night's tele.
I found that board of departmental structure quite interesting - what we saw of it anyway. Proof on there that there are Regs other than Mo and Oliver and Zosia appears to report in to Mo.

I still think that Fran knows Jac from beforehand. I am going to predict one of two things:
1. Fran and Jac are biological sisters. Fran is aware of this, but Jac is not.
2. Fran lost a child and has some reason to blame Jac for this. Perhaps the child was treated by Jac and Jac does not remember her. Or, Fran lost a baby at birth and Jac treated her, but again doesn't remember her. This could tie in with Fran perhaps abducting Emma.
I have had a feeling from the outset that Fran could turn out to be a sinister character.
