Sorry George nothing to do with the case. Just be there for support, like you would for your friends. But in Holby land they seem to like to leave them on there own to cope. Like when Jac split with Johny and he went off with Bonnie. Everyone supported Johnny not even Sacha. So i hope they do not do the same with Mo with everyone thinking that this new Guy is brillant and it is just Mo with sour grapes. Even her friends.

Speaking of which, does anyone in Holby have any friends who don't work with them? I recall an episode of Casualty, at the funeral of Adam and Jessica's little boy, only their colleagues attended. It made me think, 'Do they not know anyone from outside work?'
I guess like loads of things you just have to assume that they talk about them in scenes we don't see. Sacha has mentioned his accountant and friend Saul a fair few times. Likewise Jonny's outside mates had organised his stag do and left him tied pretty well naked to a lamp post. And they usually manage extras at weddings, christenings etc so i guess they must be friends/relations. |

I also think that Chantelle and Digby were one of the most wasted couplings of all time. They would have been comedy gold if they'd gotten together. I always hoped she would come back and they'd resolve it at some point. Given that it seems that my original Digby prediction was correct (although I would far preferred to have been wrong!), I now predict that

I completely agree Collins. I never bought Morven and Digby either. Although I can see now why it was rushed forward in the space of a few episodes, seemingly from nowhere.

Going back to Mo and racism, I am the only one who didn't see his comment as racist. My father's family have been farmers for the best part of 500 years, therefore I come from 'Farming Stock'. I wouldn't therefore have assumed that someone saying this about me thought I had straw in my hair and cow poo on my wellies.

Yes, I did think that too KitKat, but I really don't think that it will stop them going down that route. I also hope that they don't give out information that is factually incorrect.

I didn't get the racism either, his comment didn't come over that way to me. Maybe I wasn't concentrating enough |

It's not possible in the case of metastasis. This means it has spread to other areas and they can't be sure which other organs it has gone to.
I didn't get the racism either, his comment didn't come over that way to me. Maybe I wasn't concentrating enough If they go down this route, then it would be terrible if it were not researched correctly and the facts explained, as far as possible on screen. I really do think that that is where the plot is going though. All the indications are there. If it is the case, then I really do hope that it is researched properly and is not misleading. If it is not this specific storyline then I definitely think that morven's father will survive and that his survival will be somehow helped by Digby. |

In fairness to Morven, I think she's only been behaving like a spoilt child since this whole problem with her dad. Before that, I think she generally handled herself quite professionally - when Arthur was taking pills and the mental breakdown thing, I thought she dealt with the situation well. People are different when a loved one is ill - it hasn't been pretty to watch, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt - for now.
However, I do agree that Morven and Digby have absolutely no chemistry. This is unusual as Digby has pretty good chemistry with whoever else they've paired him with: Dominic, Zosia, Sacha, Chantelle etc. I like them both as individual characters, but I just don't buy them as a couple. |

And I know someone that had it when young, had it removed, and has been fine.
I didn't until afterwards when reading this. Then I reflected on Mo's bewildered face and on his words that she came from aggressive stock. |

I thought he had just used a silly term and he meant assertive. Why would Mo be more aggressive than anyone from Caucasian stock ?
There was also the comment he made to the patient about indigenous women in South Africa - implying they were somehow fundamentally different and frightening to more 'civilised' races. I actually think it is quite clever because it is the sort of comment that those very attuned to potential racism would notice but would go over a lof of people's heads. Thus it being very hard to prove whether it is actually racism or not which is going to be more often the case than obvious discrimination or name calling. |

I imagine it is is the implication of Africans being a 'warrior' race or closer to animals than White people.

Yes, that would be my view of it too. On her own she was okay until presented with her father's illness, and as you say, that can cause people to behave differently.
