There was a second cast photo which was quickly swapped on the bbc website. Here's here it is more than just Don and Petra missing
https://mobile.twitter.com/Pinkcolli...46605097406465 , but I may have missed those posts. I do remember a poster saying that Rob Ostlere had a biography somewhere online saying he was leaving Holby in March, though. I wonder if Cara is going too then. Really rhought there was a plot in store for her with Raf and Fletch, but I don't see how they are going to follow that through now

I don't think the scene in the trailer is a memorial for Arthur although they could be dedicating something to him while he is battling cancer. Robs CV online says he finishes filming in March (I'm pretty sure he's already left though) and the trailer was released a while ago so he would have still been filming. Although, of course they film out of order and it could still be one but I think its a separate thing.
I'm pretty sure he is going to die though and agree with those who think they had a long-term plan for Arthur and Morven until Rob told them he wanted to leave.

Do you have a link to Rob's CV, please? |

Thanks for that Louise Ann. I don't remember that photo being discussed on here before, only the one missing Adele and Jesse that Digby is in

I think it may have been taken down because I can't find it anywhere but I was the one who originally found it and took this screenshot http://40.media.tumblr.com/40257e05c...s2ao2_1280.jpg

Ah thanks, I hadn't imagined it then. I thought there had been discussion about a photo he wasn't on but then Thought I must have been mistaken.
It being taken down soon after appearing does make it seem even more suspicious - like the tweet from a crew member referencing Michael Thomson's leaving party last January which quickly disappeared. |

Why do leaving characters always have to have a 'leaving storyline'? Why can't they just get a better job offer or decide it's time to move on?

I actually think that they gave a tad too much away in the trailer this time... |

Yes, there wasn't a memorial scene as such in the trailer. The scene I was thinking of was the one where Serena was telling all of the junior doctors and nurses that there would be an award given to a junior doctor, or nurse. Digby was missing and it did look like it was a type of award being dedicated in memory.
I actually think that they gave a tad too much away in the trailer this time... They've been giving too much away in the trailers for ages now. If anybody was bored enough to, they could check out my theory on how Jonny would leave i posted last Jan or Feb which was based purely on the trailer and tweet about Thomson's leaving party plus Marcel's mAternity leave. I got absolutely everything right, his going to Prison over a Patient death, being attacked there, recovering, being cleared and leaving with Jac. All from the clips of him with. Stab wound, being interviewed by Police, appearing to hand custody of Emma over to Jac and finAlly him confronting Self in a smart suit rather than Prison overalls, which meant he had to both survive the staving and be cleared of the Murder charge. All before the episode where the Patient died even transmitted! There's been other examples as well (pretty sure people were analysing the Harry/MX stuff in the same trailer and guessing right) but that one sticks in my mind as he was the character I was most interested in at the time. |

Just watching Drama and The Bill, watching Jac and Fletch together as a couple. Don't usually watch day time tv.

Yes, that's what I meant. It wasn't an actual memorial in the sense of being in a church, having a huge photo in the background. More the sense of an award being given in memory of somebody and Digby is missing.

Likewise, the one with mo's surrogate son William. The trailer basically gave away the fact that his mother would die and he would be left with Mo for a period. There are a few other similar storylines. I think the Digby one is particularly bad though as most people would have had no idea about his departure in general until the very heavy hints in that trailer. |

Yes, I think they need to re-think the previews. Give teasers by all means but don't give away major plot lines!!

If the assumptions are correct, I actually think it is a bad move. He is a very popular character and one you would want to be able to return further down the road if possible. |

Me neither Collins, but I think it looks like a near certainty now. Why couldn't they just send him off to a fab new job with Chantelle, or even a guest character that he actually has some chemistry with?!

I'd just like to say a word in Petra Letang's favour. I've been quite critical of her as an actress recently, but that was the best I've ever seen her act. Brought something charismatic to the part at last!

I thought that was a slightly odd episode. The Dom and Digby scenes were very moving and beautifully acted as usual. Digby's scene where he told Morven was also touching. However, I just didn't buy them all going out to celebrate so soon after getting such bad news. Particularly on the very same day. Obviously, being positive is great, but holding a party on the very same day is a tad unrealistic.
Also, adele's departure seemed incredibly rushed. Self mentioned a new position in St Johns to her, she was meant to be filling in an application form to apply, then suddenly she's leaving and starting her new job in the space of a few hours and celebrating her new job and departure on the same day as losing one of her best friends and also in conjunction with Digby and morven's engagement party?! I've barely ever seen her even interact with Digby or Morven! Or Mo for that matter! Also, I really thought that we would at least have seen Jesse in her departure episode. They did spend the majority of their tenure as a couple. Unless, of course, Jesse joins Adele when he leaves and Petra has filmed scenes in advance to fit in with that. |

-pops open the champagne- Who wants some? It's a shame because the Digby story line was very well done, it would have been a brilliant episode if they'd just had that and AAU. |
