Your Favourite EastEnders Character - 10th Anniversary Edition (Round 2, Group 4)
Happy Easter everyone
After a quiet weekend, results are in for the third group in round two. Coming out on top is our two former winners Carol and Ronnie, both of whom enjoyed huge popularity in their respective triumphant tournaments, definitely in contention for our most popular champions of the past decade.Meanwhile Jane follows behind after a massive year for the Beale matriarch, just ahead of Chrissie Watts, our first runner-up. I kind of thought she'd do better than she did, to be honest. There's always been somewhat of a hero worship for Chrissie, rightfully so after leading the show through 2005, but I think after so many years away, people have possibly forgotten and younger viewers just haven't had the privilege of seeing her in action. Group Three Results 01 | Carol Jackson – 82.4% 02 | Ronnie Mitchell – 76.5% 03 | Jane Beale – 68.6% 04 | Chrissie Watts – 60.8% 05 | Dennis Rickman – 56.9% 06 | Michael Moon – 54.9% 07 | Mick Carter – 53.0% 08 | Jim Branning – 41.2% --------------------------------------- 09 | Kim Fox – 33.3% == | Simon Wicks – 33.3% 11 | Nick Cotton – 31.4% == | Whitney Dean – 31.4% 13 | Ricky Butcher – 27.5% == | Shabnam Masood – 27.5% 15 | May Wright – 23.5% 16 | Johnny Carter - 21.6% == | Tamwar Masood – 21.6% 18 | Jake Moon – 17.6% 19 | Lucas Johnson – 11.8% 20 | Garry Hobbs – 7.8% While the late Michael and the current landlord Mick manage to collect enough votes to make it, we lose a few long-termers here. Poor Ricky Butcher, the best part of 24 years in the show couldn't take him to the top 40. We also say farewell to Nick Cotton again, and the lovely, lovely Johnny Carter, gone too soon that boy. You may have trouble with this one...I give you group four! it'll be interesting to see who makes it from this lot. Group Four Lucy Beale Peter Beale Lauren Branning Max Branning Bianca Butcher Janine Butcher Jay Brown Linda Carter Pam Coker Jill Marsden Syed Masood Zainab Masood Billy Mitchell Peggy Mitchell Phil Mitchell Nana Moon Lola Pearce Charlie Slater Carly Wicks David Wicks Vote for your EIGHT favourites from group four. Voting will close Wednesday. |

Lauren Branning
Bianca Butcher Janine Butcher Jay Brown Zainab Masood Peggy Mitchell Phil Mitchell David Wicks Gosh, that *was* hard - I was only able to eliminate two characters on my initial pass down the list. Lost some good characters - special mention goes to Pam, who I love but feel hasn't done quite enough yet to warrant a space on the list. Once again surprising myself by including Lauren - up to her stint in rehab, I couldn't stand her. |
