Hi,
I'm considering getting Talk Talk fibre+tv at home. At the moment I'm tired of Virgin's poor broadband service.

after you get Talk Talk installed, is there a period of time you can test the service and cancel if it doesn't work as expected or if it's slow? I was thinking I would get Talk Talk while I keep Virgin, and only cancel Virgin after I'm happy with TalkTalk broadband and TV services...

The T&C are here

http://www.talktalk.co.uk/legal/term...utype=talktalk

It looks like you have 7 days to cancel. I thought the DSR was increased to 14 days though?

EDIT

The DSR was replaced by the Consumer Contracts Regulation in 2014 so maybe the TT T&C are out of date?

Bit confusing TBH?

I realise that this thread is a few months old now but this may be of interest. I've just signed up to TT tonight and it says on the bottom of the welcome email:

Changed your mind?
We always strive to give TalkTalk homes great value and a service that can be relied on. However, If you change your mind give us a call on 0870 087 8038 and let us see how we can help. You can cancel anytime up to 20 days after we accept your order and you may have to pay any costs incurred up to the time you cancel.

They shouldn't be asking you to ring an 0870 number as that's not allowed under the Consumer Rights Act 2014. They should quote an 01, 02, 03 or 080 number
