Has anyone ever used Getmein (eventim.co.uk) to purchase concert tickets ?

I've bought Fleetwood Mac tickets for their concert in Manchester and all I have received is a printed A4 piece of paper with the concert details on.
It says on it to just present the sheet of paper at the door, but I'm a bit uneasy about it.
I did google them beforehand and couldn't see anything to say they weren't legit.

Hoping someone can say they've used them and had no problems.

Used Eventim last year for a Prince concert, and just printed the ticket off at home which was an A4 piece of paper...think there was a barcode on it that they scanned (or was that for The Who...can't remember) but anyway it was fine.

According to Wikipedia, Getmein is a ticket exchange site owned by Ticketmaster. Possibly they have an arrangement to sell tickets to Eventim gigs when Eventim runs out of tickets.

That's great. Thanks for the reply. Yes it's got a barcode on it. Phew

That explains why the paper has Eventim written on it. I think that's what got me worried in the first place as that was a company name I hadn't paid money to or had been involved in any of the purchase.

Thanks.

The person you have bought the ticket off got it off Eventim so that's why it says Eventim on it.

I can sympathy with you about this. Once I purchased a ticket for Stevie Wonder in Manchester through GetMeIn and was asked to print out a piece of paper with a barcode. At the time I was thinking, is this legal?

Only when I was at the top of the steps of the Manchester Arena did I finally feel assured when I saw other people with bits of paper with the barcode on it.

Didn't realise that until I saw there was a different persons name on the sheet.
I rang them straight away and got an answer machine message which said, 'Don't worry if the name on the ticket is not yours' . Obviously everyone does worry and rings them.

Anyway thanks to the replies I'm not concerned about it now

Thinking about it, many airlines do the same now so I shouldn't have been surprised really.

I'll post back in June if I get to the top of the steps and get kicked out !

It's all a bit of a con so ticket companies no longer have to print as many tickets. Although a lot of them now charge you £2 to print your own from home! How cheeky.

While I agree the charge is a con, it's a much better system. I've twice had to get to concerts early and queue up at the box office to get tickets I'd bought a year earlier.
