Humax HDR 1000s issues - disappearing schedule & hard drive & others
Hi,
Don't know if Humax frequent this forum still, but I have seen some issues recently with the HDR1000s: 1. Hard Drive not found - rectified with a power off reboot 2. Lost Recording Schedule - Did a channel scan, then discovered all my planned recordings had been wiped - this used to be a problem on the Foxsat but was cured, but has now reappeared on DR1000s 3. Box doesn't show if channels are recording when you press the i button, this makes it difficult to know at a glance if the box is recording channels and how many. On the Foxsat, a press of the i button showed which channels were recording on the onscreen display. 4. Tied into 3, if you try to change channel when the box is recording 2 channels, you get the message "You cannot change channels whilst recording". There's no way of finding out which channels are in the same channel group and thus watcheable and so far as I can tell, even if there are channels in the same group, it still won't allow a channel change, I was recently recording 4HD and another channel and wanted to watch something on E4, it wouldn't allow a channel change. |

Can't check till tomorrow Enter the channel number manually. Display the Guide and scroll to the channel you want and press OK to watch or jump to the channel using the channel number. Scroll through available channels using the programme up/down buttons. You wont be able to view E4 (Foxsat is the same) unless the other channel being recorded was one of these. 975 Channel 4 + 1 124 More4 123 E4 +1 121 Channel 4 + 1 |

Thanks Graham.
At least Spike added without drama. Ridiculous though that once more you can't channel scan without schedule loss. Can you save the schedule to USB stick? |

Compared to a Foxsat it's very locked down. The recording partition is itself encrypted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_Unified_Key_Setup |
