I was at the Apple Store yesterday in Westfield and it was very busy then. It's school holidays, so every shop in town is busy, so what's your point? We've also had some nice weather at long last - first day out without my coat!

The stores that weren't packed were Selfridges and the other stores in Paris and Tokyo. These are where Apple has set up to entice people to spend big bucks on getting their bespoke customised watches. This is where people are watching closely.

I was invited on Tuesday to go to Selfridges this morning but couldn't make it and nor could I see the people going to get their GS6's and GS6 edges. I was with a guy setting up some of the in store displays at Westfield yesterday and there was a moderate interest from people watching as the phones were put in, but nothing spectacular.

One of the big reasons is also likely that the Russians can't get loads of people into the queues to buy something when you're not coming away with anything to ship back quickly to make a profit on.
My point is that reports can be very selective. The independent reported that customers piled into selfridges to see the watch. I have a photo sent from someone in the convent garden store and interest in the watch was high.

As for Samsung, the closed their store at Westfield Stratford due to lack of interest. Maybe the should have held out until the S6 release.

Cheek!

You last gave up when you wouldn't take my wager and put your money where your mouth is about the supposedly bendy S6s
I said that frankly i couldn't care less whether it was bendy or not. I also said Samsung was bloody stupid to slag apple off. I also said that we should wait and see what happens when the phone is actually in the hands of consumers.

But lets not drag this into this thread.

Whether you cared or not wasn't really the point.

Presumably, if the phones are equally bendy, whatever happened with the iPhone in the hands of consumers will also happen to the S6.

Point is that that wasn't going round in circles - you just declined to put your money where your mouth was.

They all cracked, so to get any bend you have to literally snap it .
I can't see there being many takers on that idea, and anyway, like Samsung claimed, it only snaps at twice the 'normal pocket pressure'.

So, no possible court patent claim for 'look, feel and bend' there.

It was, and you are doing it again. Anyway, I'm done on this. Want to keep going round and round? Pop back to the proper thread.
