she only filmed a scene in the live that was her first filming scene. It was kept secret from the cast aswell except for Phil and Ian as they knew she was returning. But she is due back to film her comeback scenes in the summer. When They were rehearsing her Live week return they had to use the actress who played Emma summerhayes as they feared that it could be leaked about Kathy return. I even forgot to mention that even the Production team didn't know about her return

Yep that's right. No-one is bigger than the show. It will continue to be successful when the likes of Ian, Phil, Dot are no longer in EastEnders. As long as they have good storylines and interesting characters, it will be fine

It's not a huge list but she will soon get acquainted with others. Lexi is her granddaughter so that opens up the possibility of interaction with Kathy and Lola.

I hope so too but she would be a big hypocrite. Kathy faked her death and she abandoned Ben. I'm sure there will be a very good reason to explain why Kathy faked her death. I'm looking forward for Kathy and Lola to share scenes together. But DTC doesn't seem fussed about Lola sadly.

I like the way that Kathy had a shock return scene, and now she isn't on screen. We know she is alive, and she wants to come home but she isn't allowed. The references every now and again ease her back and make her presence slightly more realistic (relatively speaking) than her just walking back into the square and having everyone accept that she never actually died.
But what I don't like is how Phil Mitchell is, of course, involved. It weakens the premise that Kathy wants to come back, but can't. Of course, we are yet to learn the details, but I would buy into it more if she was seen begging with the police or a detective in South Africa - not in a London car park with Phil.
This return will only work if they humanize it and make it totally about people and not sensationalised rubbish. If my mum, who I had believed to be dead, returned after 10 years my life would be turned upside down. I hope we really see how big an effect this will have on Ian and Ben.
