New Vodafone Pay Monthly tariffs
Red Value
25gb/unlimited minutes 15gb/unlimited minutes 8gb/unlimited minutes 4gb/unlimited minutes Choice of a value added packages from a choice of Sky sports, Spotify or Now TV Inclusive calls from europe. Red 20gb/unlimited minutes 10gb/unlimited minutes 6gb/unlimited minutes 2gb/unlimited minutes Standard 1gb/1000 minutes 500MB/500 minutes Those are the cliff notes. Points of interest for me: *Vodafone have used value added and data to upsell, as oppose to speeds and data from ee *Retired 3g plans. Interesting to see how they handle as currently 10% of userbase is on 4G *Only one of the “big 3” to currently offering 20gb+ tariff, now that EE have retired the 50gb plan. |

they're too expensive still when compared to some of the competitors (BT. Three) even with the discounts they're giving.

Can existing users move on to these new plans or is that considered "upgrading"

EE have not retired the 50GB plan. You can still move to it and it's had a price reduction and extra benefits added. It's just not advertised anymore.

I'd quite like to see them refresh the SIM Only plans to come into line with this with most networks they seem to be an afterthought.

I can't work out what VF strategy is? Surly if its about getting customers those prices need to get really competitve otherwise if its premium then the network coverage needs to increase quickly.

At least that's my guess. Plus they spent too much in the 3g spectrum auction. |

Vodafone 4g is spreading rapidly in North Shropshire, south Cheshire and around Staffordshire, have ordered a sim to try out coverage and speeds between now and June. I need to move plans as it's seems three are doomed to a slow painful death before they sort things out with O2 and EE don't offer a 20gb sim only plan unless that's changed in the past few days. So even if they are more expensive, having data I might be able to use unlike on three most of the time might be a bonus.
