Charge for visiting a cat twice a day

I've put this on the Advice section, but decided to ask the same question here as well !

We are going away in Sept from Friday lunch time til Sunday early evening. My cat Squiggles has diabetes, though she's stable on twice daily injections. The cattery where I usually send her is very reluctant to do her injections. ( Also my cat really loathes catteries & gets stressed even being driven there )

The office manager at our local vets, who lives very near us, has offered to call in twice a day, give the cat her injections & feed her.

I've worked out that means she'll be visiting Squiggles 4 or possibly 5 times over the 2 and a half days.

She won't discuss money with us, just says whatever I give her will be OK.

I was thinking of offering her £20, do people think that's about right, or rather mean ?

The cattery were going to charge me £6. a day, but Squiggles would have to have stayed there a day longer .

What do people think ?

I would give that if they were just visiting to feed. With them having to give injections too I would double it.

My cat sitter charges £10 per visit. I usually get her to call in twice a day so that's £20 per day. That more or less is what it would cost me for all 3 of my cats to board in a cattery but I have the added benefit of less stressed cats and the cat sitter ensuring my house is 'looked after' in that she will also feed my fish, water plants and make my house look occupied.

I certainly wouldn't do what the office manager has offered to do for just £20 - unless it was a favour for a friend. I would give at least £50.

With the person having to do medical stuff as well as feed I would also give £50.

I pay a person to let my dogs out (3 times) when I am away in the day £6 for each half hour.
