I'm not liking Jay recently, I found this out a few days ago what a betrayer I hope Phil kicks him out.

I hope they're going somewhere with this. The problem with Jay is that they've hardly let him develop as a character since being 'adopted' into the Mitchell family. Jase shouldn't have been killed off and Dawn could've been his step mum.

Woohoo! Another point for Max!

Max - 4
- Tricking Ben.
- Stealing the Arches.
- Getting Oscar from Tanya's.
- Getting Jay on his side.

Phil - 1
- Hiring Karin Smart to have sex with Max.

I thought most on here would love this, Jay is growing a pair and crossing Phil and not playing the 'saviour' for once.

I'm confused too. I'm certainly looking forward to it. It's a good move on Jay's part.

Well I am delighted and hope that this is Jay seeing the Mitchells (except Sharon) for what they are, Phil throws Jay out of the 'family' when it suits him, he only took an interest in Jay to spite Billy, and Ben has just dragged Jay into one mess after another, he nearly got him implicated in two murders, and lies to Jay one minute and is declaring they are 'brothers' and have to stay loyal to each other the next (oh and a bit of 'brotherly' kissing thrown in as well)

Jay is a decent hardworking young man and I really wish the writers would let him have a bit of stability in his life now

Good for Jay. Phil is just a nasty piece of work. I'm surprised so many on here are sticking up for him.

I wonder how Phil will react when he finds out Jay has betrayed him, will he kick him out or beat him up, he is hardly likely to take it lying down, Phil may be hard to live with but Jay should remember what Phil has done for him as after all he has given him a job and a place to live.

Jay is an ungrateful weirdo!

Max won't take him in forever.....all Max cares about is sex. Nothing and no-one else.

I can't wait for Phil to kick Max's arse! I actually can't believe he's such a hard guy and he hasn't battered him already. I think Phil is going soft in his old age. Can't wait to see Max's face when he loses the arches..............eventually!

Good for Jay - hes too good to be stuck with the Mitchells and since it's only a matter of time before him and Abi reunite, this sets that up nicely too.

Wonder if this will see Ben up his relationship with Abi as some sort of twisted payback.

This would be my plan for Jay for this year going from this spoiler...once Phil finds out that Jay has been crossing him Phil chucks him out and declares he isn't a real Mitchell, Ben whilst feeling some guilt and wanting to help him has no choice but to accept it as he is to scared of Phil and finally feels he is getting his dad's acceptance, Abi will also feel sorry for Jay but obviously her feelings now lie with Ben. Sharon whilst she will try and talk Phil round will have her own issues to deal with i.e-Denny and her real dad.

Jay goes to Max asking for somewhere to stay, Max then gives him a couple of hundred quid and tells him to get lost, Max declares he owes Jay nothing.

Jay then goes to see Billy, Phil has already told him and Lola to not let Jay stay however they ignore his warning, however after a day or two Lola feels uncomfortable around Jay as he admits he has feelings towards her, Lola tells Jay he needs to leave.

Jay is now on his own with no one else left to turn to, as he walks around the square at night, an isolated figure he then heads to the bus stop and gets on a bus...we then hear nothing of him for 1-2 months and then when Ben, Abi and Lola start to worry about his safety we then cut to a Jay living on the streets which starts a big storyline for him and being homeless.

Homelessness is an issue EE need to tackle again, I know they did it with Ian but that was part of a bigger issue and him being ill whilst this time it would solely be about being homeless and I do think Jay is one of the better characters they can choose from in the show as he doesn't actually have any blood related family and apart from the Mitchells he would have been on his own years ago.

Obviously I doubt any of this will happen but I want to see Jamie with a big story again and I think this would be ideal.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Jim's death? Maybe Jay, who was left devastated by his own dad's death, feels sorry for him.

Jay will probably end up tied to the central reservation barrier on the M25, just like Ben, but he was on a different motorway.

I like Jay and I can only see this backfiring on him when the Mitchell's discover his betrayal. I like that he's standing up for himself against Phil and family but throwing his hat in with Max doesn't seem the smartest move. Max isn't exactly a guy to have your back.
