Both links appear to have mono audio (although encoded in stereo) with the left channel about 1.5dB down on the right. But still good to hear Andy back this morning.
Web feeds are being tuner fed at the moment. Looking at it now....... |

I've got to say that the new (old) Horizon FM doesn't seem to be as good. I'm not understanding the playing of 40" of a song then another one coming on to match up to the TotH and the continuity is rather bad. Advertising the weather then straight into the news sting just highlights the fact that there's nobody there. This being in the daytimes with Leah.
It's a pity that the team who brought us the delightful Coast FM aren't able to recreate this with Horizon, despite managing it the first time around. Or are we, yet again, having a new owner who doesn't quite know/care what they are doing? Very disappointing after just a few weeks. |

It's the playout system back-timing to the news. Have heard it happen on several 'larger' UK stations. Sadly Sky doesn't hang on! The logs used to be manually scanned on a daily basis, something that will be happening again in the future Advertising the weather then straight into the news sting just highlights the fact that there's nobody there. This being in the daytimes with Leah. Certainly is somebody there during the day, would put this down to human error, it does happen! It wasn't meant to be destructive but constructive criticism and you're right it is easy to cast opinions from the outside but ultimately I'm a listener (and supporter) of Horizon and can only comment on what comes out of my speakers.
I do wish the team well with their cause and will continue to spread the word on the island that it is back and better times are ahead for the station. The last thing I intended to do was cause upset as I for one am very pleased that we have a credible alternative on the dial. |

I see horizon.fm now links back to Energy FM and Andy is the only presenter on the station, which is good because I enjoy listening to Andy.
The music is a bit out of my listening window these days though! |

Strange they seemed to have a full re-launch about 6 weeks or so ago with the old presenters and now 6 weeks later, the website has gone completely, no online stream, seems like everyone's abandoning ship again!

I've quite enjoyed Oasis FM this week. It's not as slick but it does what it needs to do.

Energy has some good potential it's sounding really good, although they do need to update their playlist more often. I did notice the playlist had been altered a little last night which was nice they even threw in a Energy Classic around 9:30pm, which I haven't heard for about a year now. Let's hope someone is prepared to put in some effort to help Energy grow.

Surprised the Nrj radio group has not taken an interest in a station using the name Energy? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NRJ_Group Quote:
Interesting. Thanks for posting that. Wonder if anything has happened since that document was published in 2012? Also Oasis company listed as Mes Once SL whereas the Oasis website mentions EmCam Media?
Spain seems to be moving radio regulation from Town halls to a central Ofcom like operation. |

I guess someone that runs energy must be on these forums as since my post earlier, the playlist has been updated quite radically, if they keep this up I will definitely be listening to Energy for longer.

Oasis has a good playlist going on at the moment but the IDs are a bit poor.
Still patiently waiting for Coast FM to come back! |

Is Coast back on FM? Music with Coast jingles on 6205kHz SW which has previously relayed Energy.

Coast FM on 6205 kHz is also now on the former Energy 192 kbps stream.
http://92.48.87.11:8192 Energy continues with a 128 kbps stream http://109.74.196.48:15614 |

Listening and looking at the beat visualisation in Shoutcast it is in stereo but the separation is not the widest I have seen.

Facebook page now created for Coast FM and news on the website of its return on 01 June to 102.5 and 104.5 FM.
Online appears to just be automated output. The jingles are the same with the IDs updated to the old strapline of "classic hits and the best of today" along with "Tenerife's best music". Certainly sounding well at the moment. I've always enjoyed Coast's imaging and find it sounds much slicker against the likes of Oasis who are let down by poor IDs. Ferreteria Goyo adverts are quickly back on! They must pay a fortune in advertising! |

Interesting QSL card from Coast FM for the SW transmission here with the TX in UK/Ireland and showing 200w on 6205 kHz.
