Considering the state of Hollyoaks at the moment I got a tad bored and started planning how I'd turn things around. Just a little bit of fun!

Monday 13th

Peri Lomax is sitting on the sofa with a bowl of Coco Pops as Leela and Ziggy walk into the living room. Leela asks Peri how she’s feeling and Peri mutter her reply. Leela asks Peri whether she’s sure she wants to give the baby up. Peri tries to sound convincing as she says yes. Peri says she’s meeting Nico and leaves. John Paul arrives and the three end up talking about Leela & Ziggy’s upcoming wedding.

Freddie and Lindsey walk through the village as Grace announces that she’s been bailed from prison due to the legality of Sinead’s information. Freddie announces that Grace won’t get away with her plan and Grace laughs at Freddie. Grace turns around and tells Freddie to watch his back. Lindsey announces her nervousness and Freddie tells her to relax and get a coffee.

Joe Roscoe approaches Freddie and tells him that he, Ziggy and Jason agreed that they were better off without him. Freddie tells Joe that they are family and that they should stick together. Joe tells Freddie that the Roscoe’s and Hollyoaks village is better off without him and Lindsey. Freddie says that their mum would be appalled by Joe whilst Joe grunts that Freddie has wrecked their family and should stay away.

Diane O’Connor goes to the hospital with Anthony and Dee Dee in a buggy to find Tegan. Kim is busy reading her secret diary when Diane asks her for directions. Diane eventually finds Tegan and sits down beside her. The pair talk about how much they love their daughters and how much they’d miss them. Diane admits that she thought about getting custody of both girls but then realised how selfish she was. Tegan tells Diane how betrayed she felt when she found out the truth about Leela and Peri and says that she never wants to hurt her child. Diane and Tegan end up agreeing to hide the truth from their children until they feel their kids are ready.

Cindy is sipping red wine in The Dog In The Pond as Simone Loveday enters. Simone sneers at Cindy over her choice of beverage and causes Cindy to storm out. Frankie ends up telling Simone about Cindy’s manipulation of rich men. Simone and Frankie both laugh at the craziness of Hollyoaks village after Simone mentions a boy with an eating disorder and Frankie talks about a transgender person. The pair ends up bonding over their old-fashioned ways and views.

Nico meets Peri in Esther’s Magic Bean. Peri starts to cry and admits that she might not be able to go through with adoption. Peri realises that she has to stop whinging and grow up and mentions how horrid it is being lied to about her true parents and drops a bombshell. Peri announces that she wants to keep her baby.

Tuesday 14th

Tegan and Ziggy are chatting in Tegan’s hospital room. The pair talks about revealing their love to Leela. Tegan tells Ziggy that he needs to choose soon with their wedding coming up. Ziggy tells Tegan that he doesn’t want to be with Leela and he wants to be with her. The pair kiss and continue to do so until the door swings open and are busted by Peri. Peri runs off and Tegan tells Ziggy to chase after her.

Porsche, Celine, Cleo, Phoebe and Theresa are talking in the McQueen living room and are talking about Nana and Myra’s return in a few days whilst watching daytime TV. Harry answers the door and asks Cleo if they can go somewhere private. Cleo suggests her bedroom whilst Harry steps outside. Harry admits that he doesn’t want to be in a relationship with her anymore and tells Cleo that he’s better off without him and causes Cleo too run off crying to her room. Porsche prepares to go speak to Cleo but is distracted by a call.

Patrick is talking with Louis Loveday in his office as Theresa arrives with coffee. Patrick ends up spilling his and cuts his meeting short. Patrick reminds Theresa not to mention anything whilst Theresa mentions that people are going to notice eventually. Patrick admits that he thought he was strong enough to beat motor neuron disease and ends up breaking down and sobs about how he’ll soon have little control over his life – Something which frightens him a lot.

Frankie and Jack are behind the bar in The Dog In The Pond whilst Leela, Ziggy, Darren and Lockie are drinking by the bar and John Paul, Ste and Sinead are sitting down. Sinead talks about how excited she is to give birth and she tells Ste to cheer up. Ste tells Sinead that he’s feeling ill due to a side effect of medication he’s taking for HIV.

Peri storms into the pub and tells Leela that she needs to speak to her. Leela tells Peri she’s busy and asks if it can wait. Ziggy runs into the pub and tells Leela that Peri’s lying. Leela says she’s confused and the pub goes silent as Peri tells Leela that Ziggy’s been kissing Tegan behind her back. Leela remains confused and Ziggy says that Peri’s confused. Peri admits that she saw them kiss. Ziggy and Leela both remain speechless until Peri tells Ziggy he should admit the truth and not wait until their wedding.

Ziggy ends up admitting that he’s in love with Tegan and walks off after Leela slaps him and announces that their wedding is off. Leela hugs Peri and thanks her and wipes away a few tears and smiles at her daughter. Peri decides to tell Leela that she wants to keep her baby and Leela hugs her tighter.

Wednesday 15th

Leela has spent the night clearing out boxes of Ziggy’s stuff. Ziggy spent the night at the Roscoe house after Leela put the chain across the door. Maxine arrives at the flat with a bottle of wine and a box of sweets and asks Leela if she wants to chill out. Leela begins to rant about Ziggy and how embarrassed she feels and how she doesn’t want to hate Tegan.

Ziggy and Tegan are talking in the hospital. Ziggy tells Tegan that Peri revealed all and he admitted the truth. Ziggy says he feels bad about what happened yet tells Tegan that they can be a proper couple now. Tegan says that even though she loves Ziggy she can’t choose between him and her sister. Tegan closes their chat by saying that they’re over and that they should both move on. After giving Tegan a goodbye kiss, Ziggy leaves.

Cleo McQueen is lying in bed in a dressing gown with a bowl of cereal. Celine enters the room and sits down on the bed. Cleo rejects Celine’s offer of a hug and Celine tells Cleo that she shouldn’t get too upset about one boy, she tells her that there’s plenty more fish in the sea and just because one bites doesn’t mean you should give up. Cleo asks if she can be left alone but Celine tells Cleo to get dressed, come downstairs and watch a movie. Cleo reluctantly gets up and hugs Celine.

Grace Black and Esther Bloom are relaxing in the flat’s living room whilst Trevor Royle is searching the cupboards for fish food. Trevor makes a discovery inside a broken kettle in a cupboard under the sink. Trevor asks Esther to fetch a pizza from Price Slice for dinner. Once Esther leaves Trevor confronts Grace about a loaded gun he found under the sink. Grace tells Trevor not to worry about it and to forget about it and not tell Esther. Trevor tells Grace he’s sick of secrets and begs her not to do anything stupid.

Ziggy Roscoe answers the door to a staggering Leela who’s holding a bottle of vodka in one hand and a box of Ziggy’s possessions in the other. Leela hands Ziggy’s his belongings and invites herself into the Roscoe house. Leela tells him that he is pathetic and a lousy for sleeping with her sister. Leela reveals that she sold the wedding ring and cancelled everything. Ziggy begs Leela for another chance but Leela tells him that they’re over for good. Ziggy makes a heartfelt speech about how much Leela means to him and how lonely he’ll be without her. Leela snorts and tells him he should have thought about that before sleeping with Tegan. Leela ends up at the The Dog In The Pond and ends up in bed with an unlikely villager.

Elsewhere, Freddie and Lindsey make plans for another engagement party, Jason and Holly talk about their future and Holly announces her intentions to go to university and Ste and John Paul argue about Ste not taking medication as missing one or two doses can cause treatment not to work as the body can become resistant to the medication.

Thursday 16th

It’s breakfast at the McQueen house and Porsche is too busy to notice Theresa and Phoebe arguing over the shower or listen to Celine’s claims that Cleo drank all of the milk. Porsche grabs her handbag and leaves the busy house to focus on her thoughts.

Leela wakes up and realises straight away she isn’t in her bed – It’s too comfy. Leela sighs as she rolls over and sees Lockie fast asleep. Leela quietly gets out of bed and straightens her hair as she makes the awkward walk back home.

Ste and John Paul are in Diane’s house. John Paul mentions that they’re spending a lot of time there. Ste tells John Paul that Sinead suggested they move in. John Paul says that he feels uncomfortable moving into the house where Finn lived. John Paul forgives Ste for badgering him about his medication and Ste forgives him. John Paul is unimpressed when Ste offers him an unhealthy snack and John Paul tells Ste he needs to adapt to a healthy lifestyle. Ste gets annoyed and tells John Paul to let him sort himself out and for making him feel even worse. John Paul announces that he’s got to collect Matthew and quickly leaves.

Leela’s cleaned up and is visiting Tegan. Tegan tries to talk to Leela but Leela interrupts and expresses how hurt she is by Tegan and declares how much she loved Tegan and Ziggy. Tegan tells Leela that she loved Ziggy too and doesn’t want to lose Leela. Leela mentions how she’s struggling to forgive Tegan and Tegan points how Leela isn’t so perfect herself. Tegan pleads with Leela and tells her that they’ve been through so much and mum and dad wouldn’t want them to split up after so much stress and that they need to be together for Peri and Ste.

Porsche grudgingly sits down in a prison waiting room. A black haired woman known as Reenie McQueen sits down opposite her. Reenie says how happy she is that Porsche’s visiting her and how much she misses her kids. Porsche asks her mother what she wants. Reenie reveals that she wants to move in with her kids as she’s getting released next month. Porsche tells Reenie to stay away as calls her a horrible mother who chooses a boyfriend over her daughter. Reenie tries to convince Porsche that Pete is a nice man. Porsche tells her mum that Pete physically abused her and made life horrid for Celine and Cleo and that’s the truth whether she wants to believe it or not. Reenie tells Porsche that she’s coming home and Porsche warns her to stay away.

Leela is catching up with Sienna over lunch in The Hutch when Lockie comes over and tells Leela he had a fun night. Leela apologises to Lockie and tells him that she made a mistake and would like to move on. Sienna struggles to keep straight face as she learns that she slept with his Cameron’s brother. Leela pleads with Sienna not to tell anyone.

John Paul is chatting with Nancy and admits that his relationship with Ste is a mess. John Paul admits that there’s no spark like there was with Craig and he’s sick of trying to help Ste. John Paul mentions how jealous he is of Ste’s close friendship with Sinead and admits he wishes they were that close. Nancy admits that she’s confused about Joe and doesn’t know who he really is. Nancy offers John Paul a glass of wine and the pair continue to talk about their troubled relationships.

Grace Black is in her kitchen and is searching for latex gloves. She eventually finds them and takes out a gun from under the kitchen sink. Grace smirks as her evil plan finally comes together.

And regarding Peri, I didn't want her to abort the baby as abortion shouldn't be used as a quick escape and I didn't want Peri to give the baby up as she'd probably want it back. Peri trying to raise a baby will be the more interesting plot in my opinion.

Friday 17th

In The Dog In The Pond, Freddie and Lindsey are drinking to celebrate their engagement and are unaware of what’s to come. Zack Loveday is chatting with Harry Thompson about his breakup with Cleo. Zack questions why Harry did it and he tells Harry that a bad girlfriends better than no girlfriend. Harry tells Zack to grow up and stop acting idiotic and storms out and has an awkward encounter with Cleo as Cleo, Celine and Theresa enter the pub.

Phoebe enters the McQueen living room and finds Porsche crying on the sofa. Phoebe sits down beside her and asks her what the problem is. Phoebe finds a family photo on the table which Porsche was looking at. Phoebe asks who the man in the photo is an after some hesitation Porsche tells Phoebe that the man is called Pete. After breaking into another round of tears Porsche confesses to Phoebe that Pete used to hit her mum, Reenie denied everything. Porsche then tells Phoebe that Reenie is soon to be released and is planning to move back. Phoebe hugs Porsche and tells her that she won’t let Reenie back into her life. Fortunately the atmosphere is brightened as Phoebe answers the door and finds Myra and Nana McQueen. Myra tells Phoebe that they need to find Freddie Roscoe and make him pay for what he did to Mercedes.

Trevor Royle is talking with Dylan in his flat and is preparing a microwave meal. Dylan offers to help and searches the cupboards for a clean plate. Dylan asks why there’s an empty kettle and Trevor snatches it off him. Trevor realises that kettle is lighter and realises its empty and runs off to stop Grace making a big mistake.

Peri Lomax is sitting outside the pub with a book of baby names which Leela brought her. Ziggy Roscoe sees Peri and says hello to her. Peri continues to read her book until Ziggy mentions how much he misses Leela. Peri snorts at Ziggy and grumbles that he shouldn’t have tried to wreck her family apart. Peri continues to speak and says that she couldn’t care about Leela’s relationships and she’s glad to have her family back and that Ziggy isn’t a part of it. Ziggy thinks of something to say but is disturbed as Peri spots Cameron Campbell in the distance and smiles and runs off to hug him. Cameron smirks at Ziggy who slumbers off.

Grace Black is standing in a dark and empty car park. Freddie Roscoe walks up to Grace and tells her that he got her text and asks her what she wants. Grace sneers that this is the end, this is their final battle and she’s gonna win. Freddie asks her what the hell is going on and Grace pulls out a small black gun. Grace tells Freddie that he always knew this day was coming. Freddie remains shocked and convinces himself that Grace wouldn’t pull the trigger. Before Grace can get justice for her father, Lindsey screams and runs to help Freddie. Lindsey pushes Freddie out the way and Grace ends up shooting Lindsey in the leg. Freddie bursts into tears and comforts Lindsey. Trevor runs over and tells Grace to put the gun down. Freddie comforts Lindsey and calls Grace a ‘horrid cretin’.

Grace smirks and informs Freddie that she has another bullet and plunges another bullet through Freddie’s chest. Freddie stares at Lindsey who’s still conscious and tells her that he loves her. Lindsey replies to him as Kim, Esther, Myra, Nana and Theresa come over. Kim asks what happened and Grace lies and says that Freddie tried to shoot Lindsey but Grace grabbed the gun and Freddie accidently shot himself. Garce continues to lie and says Freddie shot Lindsey as he was dying. Esther and Kim run to get help as Lindsey becomes unconscious and Freddie stops breathing. Myra tells Grace that her story isn’t convincing but she’ll back her up and Theresa and Nana agree to cover Grace’s lie. Grace rubs Freddie’s hand over the gun for DNA purposes.

'Lay Me Down' Plays over a montage as Esther enters the pub and breaks the news to Joe, Jason and Ziggy that Lindsey shot Freddie whilst an ambulance collects an unconscious Lindsey and a paramedic confirms Freddie’s death. Theresa is comforting Kim in the hospital waiting room as she waits nervously about her sister. Grace, Trevor, Myra, Theresa and Nana are taken to the police station to give their planned statements. Ziggy and Jason cry over Freddie’s passing and Joe feels numb as he tries to come to terms with the fact that Freddie Roscoe’s dead and isn’t ever coming back.

This episode marked the last appearance of Charlie Clapham as Freddie Roscoe.

Monday 20th

It’s been days since Freddie died and Lindsey was shot. Kim’s standing with Celine as they watch Lindsey unconscious in the hospital. Celine hugs and tells her that Lindsey should be fine.

Grace is sitting on the sofa in an empty flat as Esther’s with Phoebe and Dylan when Trevor Roscoe emerges from the bedroom. Trevor tells Grace that she was being stupid, foolish and irresponsible. Grace snorts and ignores Trevor. Trevor continues to speak and says that hurt that Grace didn’t confide in him about their plan and that they could lose Esther and Grace could never see her kid if she goes to prison. Grace buries her head in her hand and begins to blubber. Trevor asks Grace if she’s hiding anything else and after a few seconds Grace confesses that Mercedes is alive.
Tom meets up with Peri by the fountain and Peri breaks into a grin and tells Tom that they plan to keep the baby. The pair hug and Tom says that he’s delighted and can’t wait to be a dad. Tom asks Peri about school and Peri announces that Cameron’s back and can look after the baby and Leela’s planning to reduce her hours. Peri and Tom hug again and continue to plot out their future.

Leela’s eating in The Hutch when Cameron Campbell enters and asks Diane for a possible chef job. Lockie’s delighted to see his brother again and Diane gives him a job. When Lockie and Diane leave Leela asks Cameron why he’s back. Cameron says to see his daughter and to be there for his granddaughter. Leela’s shocked as she realises she’ll be a grandmother and then becomes as she thinks about her parents. Cameron notices Leela’s upset and asks her what the matter is. Leela warns Cameron not to get too close to Peri or he’ll tell the police he killed her parents. Cameron asks Leela why she hasn’t gone to the police and Leela admits that she doesn’t want to put Peri, Tegan or Ste through stress. Leela wipes her eyes and tells Cameron that she’s getting tired of trying to hold her family together but her parents wouldn’t want her family falling apart. Cameron puts his arm round Leela, smiles and says that he’ll help her in any way that he can.

Theresa, Myra and Nana are chatting in the kitchen and are talking about Grace. Theresa says that Grace is an evil criminal and should go to jail whilst Myra smirks and reminds Theresa that she shot Calvin. Nana says that she did it out of love for her family which doesn’t make her evil. Theresa wonders whether they’ll be able to stick to their story as Lindsey might wake up soon. Unknown to them, they left the window open and Phoebe heard every word and runs off to alert Esther.

Trevor says that Grace has gone too far and needs to calm down. Grace tries to apologise but Trevor tells her that she needs to sort herself out for the baby’s sake. Grace tells Trevor that she’ll stay in line for Esther and the baby.

And finally, Ziggy Roscoe arrives at the hospital and panics as he sees Lindsey’s heart rate decreasing. Ziggy rushes for help but it could be too late. The ‘Angel of Death’ has struck again but have they claimed another victim?

Tuesday 21st

Joe and Jason are standing in the Roscoe house living room with empty boxes and are preparing to gather Freddie’s possessions. Grace is watching an unconscious Lindsey whose fate is still unknown. Patrick reading food brochures in his office as Theresa brings him his coffee.

Patrick thanks Theresa for his coffee and Patrick tells Theresa he’s planning a dinner party tonight. Theresa offers to cook and Patrick starts preparing a menu.

Jason carries Freddie’s remaining clothes down the stairs and into the living room. Jason tells them that none of them will fit any of them and might as well be donated to the charity shop. Joe wonders whether they’re rushing into getting rid of his stuff and Ziggy enters and asks if he can keep Freddie’s radio and IPOD. Joe picks up Freddie’s football shirt and sits back down and uses the shirt to wipe his tears. Joe confesses to Ziggy and Jason that the last time he spoke to Freddie he told him that he wasn’t part of his family and it better off without him. Jason struggles to realise that he’ll never hear or see his brother again and Ziggy speaks about how important family is and that they shouldn’t take it for granted. Afterwards Jason says he’s gonna visit Robbie and Joe says he’s gonna call mum and tell her how much he loves her.

Lindsey Butterfield opens her eyes and sees Grace looming over her. Grace sighs theatrically and jokes that Lindsey had everyone excited when she nearly died. Lindsey asks what happened and Grace tells her about being unconscious despite being in a stable condition. Grace tells Lindsey to listen and tells her that Freddie accidently shot himself after she tried t wrestle the gun off him and tells Lindsey that Freddie shot her in the leg as he died. Lindsey shudders as she remembers that Freddie’s dead. Grace tells Lindsey that she’s gotta stick to that story or face the same fate as Freddie as she has eyewitnesses to prove what she saw. Grace then orders Lindsey to leave Hollyoaks Village and never return. Lindsey yells that Grace is a twisted bitch and Grace slaps Lindsey’s cheek and tells her to shut up or join Freddie in hell.

Patrick, Sienna, Nico sit down for dinner and Theresa answers the door and Patrick introduces Louis and Simone Loveday to Sienna. Nico greets Louis as Mr Loveday and Theresa serves their food. After small talk and discussion about Theresa’s tasty food, Sienna gets annoyed and storms off. Patrick goes to follow her and finds Sienna on her bed with a photo of her Patrick, Nico and Dodger. Sienna says that she misses Mark and Patrick tells her that Mark’s gone and she needs to move on. Sienna says she wants her family back and doesn’t want Theresa around and she asks her dad why she’s here. Patrick says she’s here to help due to his increasing workload.

Wednesday 22nd

Esther Bloom was eating a tub of Price Slice ice cream on the sofa whilst Grace is hovering. Grace tells Esther that they’ve got a baby shopping spree later. Esther doesn’t reply and causes Grace to ask her if the baby’s making her grumpy. Esther tells Grace that she’s making the baby grumpy. Grace asks Esther what she’s going on about and Esther confesses that she knows that Grace killed Freddie and shot Lindsey. Grace tells Esther she did it for the baby’s sake but Esther walks out and tells Grace that the baby doesn’t deserve her as her mother.

Theresa McQueen is typing in her office as Sienna Blake enters. Sienna asks to see her father and Theresa tells her that Patrick’s out and doesn’t mention that he’s at a hospital appointment. Sienna asks when he’ll be back and Theresa says she doesn’t know. Sienna calls Theresa a bad secretary and Theresa stands up and asks Sienna why she hates her so much. Sienna admits that she’s dreamed of a happy family with her daughter and father and Theresa’s not part of her dream and they don’t need her. Sienna calls Theresa a dumb blonde and Theresa replies by calling Sienna a loony. Sienna slaps Theresa and Theresa hits back. Sienna sneers and says that she can make her life a misery.

John Paul is finishing his lesson and the lesson bell goes for lunch. Harry hangs back after the rest of the class leave. John Paul asks Harry why’s he’s staying behind. Harry cuts to the point and asks him if it was tough – Coming out. John Paul explains how it happened and admits it was tricky talking to his family yet he felt better once he told them and he urges Harry to do the same. Harry then asks him if bringing home a boyfriend was tricky and John Paul admits it was. Harry admits he’s struggling to come out as once he does it his life will change forever and he worries his reputation will be ruined and his dad won’t love him. John Paul tells him not to worry about what others think and he should be himself and be comfortable and if someone has a problem then it’s their problem and not his. This slightly reassures Harry and he tries to leave but the doorways blocked by Theresa and Sienna rolling on the floor trying to claw one another as a circle of people including Zack Loveday who’s shouting girl fight surround them.

Grace finds sitting down in the folly. Esther asks Grace if she knows what happened here and Grace says she doesn’t. Esther tells Grace that this is where she tried to kill herself. Esther they says that for the first time she felt like she had a future since the bullying. Grace says that she wants a future with Esther and her baby. Esther asks Grace why she did it. Grace says that she wants the best life for her child and Freddie was in the way. Esther says that killing isn’t always the answer and calls Grace a murderer. Grace tells Esther that she knows what she did was wrong but she did it for the best. Esther says that she’s wrecked Lindsey’s life and she’s killed a loving mother’s son. Grace struggles on what to say so Esther tells Grace that she needs to stop any kind of criminal activity for the sake of her child. Grace agrees and the pair hug.

And Celine McQueen is at the hospital by sleeping Lindsey’s bed, after a few seconds she picks up the phone, after listening she agrees to meet someone. Celine looks through Lindsey’s paperwork and drops the paper as she realises there’s someone in the hospital who tried to kill Lindsey.

Thursday 23rd

Darren is helping his father, Jack set up a pub Olympic night involving darts and snooker and even drinking games such as beer pong and drunken jenga. Nico is helping Sienna clean up her injuries from her fight with Theresa, Celine is standing near Dr S’avage’s office and is waiting for him to take his lunch break and Joe is finalising Freddie’s funeral plans.

Lindsey Butterfield is resting in her hospital room. Her sister Kim hands over a tray of food and sits down beside her. Kim asks her how she’s feeling and Lindsey replies fine. Kim tells Lindsey that it’s Freddie’s funeral tomorrow and Lindsey mentions that she’s leaving Hollyoaks after the funeral. Kim tells Lindsey not to move but Lindsey tells her that she needs to move on from Freddie and Joe. Kim eventually realises this and tells Lindsey that she’ll miss her.

John Paul, Joe and Lockie are playing a game of darts whilst Phoebe is playing snooker with Cleo. Sienna’s drinking at the bar as Patrick and Theresa enter. Patrick walks up to Sienna and tells her to be nice to Theresa. Sienna calls Theresa a money grabbing bitch and swaggers off.

Grace is talking with Lindsey and Grace reminds Lindsey about their agreement and Lindsey mentions that she doesn’t want to stay anyway without Freddie. Lindsey tells Grace to leave and starts looking at pictures of Freddie on her phone. Lindsey breaks down in tears as Freddie’s death sinks in and she recalls memories of Freddie.
Charles S’avage finally leaves his office which Celine quickly enters. Celine rummages through his folders trying to look for something linked to Diane’s attack. Celine stops her search as she finds a letter from Mariam.

Back at the pub, Ziggy’s spots Leela laughing with Peri and Tegan and tries to chat up Porsche. Nancy and Joe are talking about properly moving in together whilst Simone Loveday enters and finds Zack drinking with Harry, Holly and Jason. Simone marches Zack out and Jason tells Holly that they should try and set Harry up with someone. Harry makes an excuse to go to the toilet. Harry locks himself in a cubicle and rubs his eyes, runs his hands through his hair and sits down on the closed toilet and fights back tears.

Sienna returns to Patrick and tells Patrick to choose between her daughter and Theresa. Patrick ignores Sienna but notices a bruise on her neck. Patrick asks her where she got the bruise and Sienna sits down and forces herself to cry. Sienna tells Patrick that Theresa attacked her but Theresa pulls back her sleeve and shows cuts where Theresa cut her with her nails. Theresa calls Sienna unhinged and reveals that Sienna blackmailed her way out of the psychiatric hospital. Sienna begs Patrick to tell the truth and Theresa encourages Patrick to open up. Patrick asks if they can go back home but Sienna demands to know now. Patrick pants and tells Theresa that he’s got motor neurone disease and is dying just after the chatter in the pub stops. Sienna remains silent and expresses her upset over Patrick telling Theresa over her. Sienna walks off without letting Patrick explain.

Friday 24th

Joe’s driving Jason, Ziggy and Darren in a car to the chapel where Freddie’s funeral is being held. Sienna’s on the sofa in the boarding house and is researching motor neurone disease on her laptop. Grace Black and Trevor Royle are drinking in The Loft with Myra, Porsche, Nana, Phoebe and Theresa and Maxine’s alone in the Dog in the Pond.

The Roscoes carry Freddie’s coffin down the chapel aisle and take a seat in the front row and are in front of Lindsey and Kim – The only others at the service. A vicar starts the service and Joe shortly does the eulogy. He talks about how full of life Freddie was and how much fun they hand. He says that Freddie would always care about others and maintained his wit even when sleeping with his fiancée and possibly being a murderer. Joe says that Freddie wasn’t perfect and was far from it but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a funeral. Ziggy finally gets Sandy on a webcam as she’s got a new job in London and the service eventually comes to a close. Lindsey runs out crying as Freddie’s body is taken to be buried.

Grace is talking to Trevor and says that they’ve finally gotten rid of Freddie Roscoe. Trevor tells her that killing someone isn’t something to be proud of. Grace reminds Trevor that Freddie killed her dad and Grace tells him that she’s going to Clare’s grave to plant some flowers. The McQueen’s are happily dancing and Nana makes an announcement and tells her family that Reenie McQueen’s moving in with them. A disgusted Porsche storms out but the McQueen’s continue their party.

Tony let’s Patrick into the boarding house despite Sienna’s please not too. Patrick sits down opposite Sienna and Sienna shuts down her laptop and glares at her father. Patrick asks her if she wants to ask him anything. Sienna asks Patrick why he told Theresa and not his daughter. Patrick begins to apologise and says he was wrong to do so yet Sienna tells him that he’s a useless father. Sienna says that all she wanted was her family and expresses her disgust that Patrick was planning to die without ever telling her. Sienna tells him he is a coward and a pathetic dying man and she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Patrick begs Sienna to stay with him but Sienna says that she feels betrayed and she thought they were close but she reminds Patrick of what a bad father he is and mentions that he locked her away when she was pregnant and raised a freak. Sienna bursts into tears and mentions how she still sees people pointing and laughing at her in the streets. Sienna mentions that she thought she could trust her dad but he’s even worse. Patrick tries to comfort Sienna but she asks him to leave her alone and he obliges.

Joe, Jason, Ziggy, Kim and Lindsey have buried Freddie’s body and are back at the Roscoe house. Lindsey’s announced her departure and is sharing farewell’s. Lindsey grabs two suitcases and a backpack and leaves the house to say goodbye to Freddie for one final time.

Darren enters The Dog In The Pond and sits down besides Maxine. The pair start talking about being single and Darren plucks up the courage to ask her out on a date and Maxine agrees.

Grace Black is standing over Freddie’s grave. She bundles up some saliva and spits on Freddie’s grave. She digs her heel into the grass and makes a hole. She starts tearing up the grave and kicks the flowers about and sneers and says that Freddie doesn’t deserve flowers or any luxury. Lindsey runs over and pushes Grace away. Lindsey weeps over Freddie’s wrecked grave and tells Grace that she’s won. Grace tells Lindsey that Hollyoaks village won’t be the same without her. Lindsey takes one last look at the grave and walks away and leaves Hollyoaks village.

Monday 27th

The episode starts off with Grace walking on an aeroplane, Harry sitting in Ester’s Magic Bean, Celine sitting in the McQueen living room and Cleo’s sitting on a bench outside school.

Grace walks through a sandy beach and sees Mercedes riding on a sailboat. Mercedes spots Grace and sails to the sand. Mercedes asks Grace what she’s doing and Grace warns Mercedes to stay out of sight and not make contact with anyone. Mercedes says that she wants to go home. Grace lies and says that Freddie’s winning the battle. Mercedes says that they can fake a kidnapping but Grace dismisses this idea.
Mercedes tells Grace that her family won’t stop until they find a body or she returns. Grace tells her that she’s sorting things out but Mercedes tells her to get Freddie arrested or she’s coming back. Grace tells Mercedes she has work to do in France and leaves. Mercedes tells Grace that she’ll be back in ten days so she better have things sorted.
Harry’s finishes a hot chocolate as Esther comes over and offers a refill. Harry remembers that Esther’s a lesbian and asks her what it was like being a gay at school. Esther realises the reason Harry broke up with Cleo and tells him it was good that he didn’t string her along. Esther admits that she was always comfortable with her sexuality yet guys aren’t always as accepting. Esther then tells him that it gets better after coming out but Harry’s sick of the same advice and walks out after making Esther promise not to say anything.

Porsche walks downstairs and catches Celine researching Charles S’avage on google. Celine shuts the laptop down. Celine confides in her sister and admits that she found something out about her boss and doesn’t know what to do and she admits it could put her in danger. Porsche tells her sister not to do anything dangerous and tells her that she always thought there’s something odd about S’avage.

Cleo notices that Trevor dropped his phone yet he drives off before she can give it to him. Curiosity gets the better of Cleo and she turns on his phone. Cleo gets nervous as the phone rings and accidently hits the ‘accept call’ button and is stuck for words as she hears Mercedes voice. Later in the day Cleo hands Trevor back his phone and admits that she heard Mercedes calling him. Trevor tells her that she’s hearing things yet Cleo surprises Trevor by telling him that Grace and Mercedes set up her ‘death’ to get Freddie arrested. Trevor struggles on what to say and tells her that Mercedes is returning now Freddie’s gone and demands her not to say anything. Cleo eventually agrees on the condition that she can speak to her cousin and Trevor gives her the number.

Tuesday 28th

Myra and Nana McQueen are organising flowers in the florist which they’ve recently brought. Nana’s organising some roses and admits that they remind her of Carmel – Soft, gentle and delicate. Myra admits her regret that she never really grieved for Carmel. Nana remembers how calming Carmel was and that they needed comfort in their lives. Myra says that it was mostly because of Mercedes who she compares to a gladiolus – Strong character. Myra recalls her earliest memories of Carmel, Mercedes, Jacqui and even Tina and mentions how different life is without them. Nana admits that she hates not seeing her grandchildren and expresses her upset that they still haven’t found a body for Mercedes.

Zack Loveday is drinking with Harry Thompson outside The Loft. Simone Loveday storms over with Louis nearby and asks Louis whether Zack’s finished his coursework. Louis admits he hasn’t and Simone crushes his can of beer and marches Zack off and warns Harry to stay away from her son. Simone tells Zack that Harry is a bad influence and the three walk away as Harry looks and is oblivious yet continues to drink.

Grace Black is trying to cook in an empty flat when the doorbell rings. Grace is surprised to find Cleo at the door and is shocked when Cleo asks her why Mercedes can’t return. Cleo tells Grace that she found Trevor’s phone and she tells Grace that Freddie’s dead and Lindsey’s left so there’s nothing to worry about. Grace struggles to think and lies to Cleo and tells her that Mercedes is being targeted by gangster friends of Freddie and needs hiding yet she doesn’t want the McQueen’s to become targets. Cleo remains unsure and doesn’t tell Grace that she has Mercedes number and she leaves. A minute later Trevor returns and Grace yells at him for letting Cleo find out and that she doesn’t want innocent people getting dragged into her mess. Trevor tells her that things can be resolved if Mercedes returns and pins the blame on Freddie but Grace admits that Mercedes might pin the blame on her.

Darren Osbourne waits for Maxine to arrive at The Hutch for their date. Tony talks to Darren and Tony tells him to relax with Maxine. Darren tells Tony that dating advice from him isn’t very effective and Maxine arrives. Their date starts off well as the pair is used to being friends yet things become more relaxed as the date goes on. Things go back to awkward again as Maxine tells him that she feels bad for Patrick and wonders whether to talk to him. Darren reminds Maxine that he abused her for months but Maxine reminds Darren that he’s dying. Darren calls Patrick a monster yet Maxine tells Darren that he’s human like everyone else. Despite a rocky end the pair ends their date with a kiss.

Wednesday 29th

Phoebe McQueen and Jason Roscoe are both standing outside prisons, Dianne O’Connor is watching Dee Dee playing on the carpet and Maxine is at the boarding house with Minnie by her side.

Phoebe McQueen enters the visiting room and approaches Reenie McQueen. Phoebe introduces herself and Reenie wonders why Phoebe sent a visiting request. Phoebe tells Reenie that Porsche told her that Pete assaulted her. Reenie tells Phoebe that Pete was a nice guy and would never hurt anyone. Phoebe tells Reenie that being assaulted is horrific and that she knows that Porsche was telling the truth as she went through a similar thing. Reenie tells Phoebe to stay out of her business and tells her that Porsche is crying to attention and doesn’t deserve it. Phoebe sneers at Reenie and says that she’s a pathetic mother and shouldn’t be near kids. Reenie smirks and reminds Phoebe that she’s moving in with them. Phoebe tells Reenie that she won’t let it happen.

Diane’s watching Dee Dee and Anthony crawl across the rug as Sinead hands her a cup of coffee. Diane admits that watching the two play together doesn’t feel right. She admits that she doesn’t feel like she did the right thing and wonders whether she can like to her kids for their entire life. She realises how betrayed they might feel when they find out the truth. Sinead reminds her that she loves Dee Dee and she’s her daughter. Sinead continues to speak and remind her that Tegan’s struggling as well and they shouldn’t stress her out as she’s recovering. Diane comes stressed and drops her coffee and grabs Sinead by her shoulders and throws her to the ground and makes her way to the fridge to drink her troubles away.

Jason Roscoe sits down opposite Robbie and Robbie asks why no one’s been visiting him recently. Jason tells him that everyone has been busy and haven’t been able to visit. Robbie asks how everyone is and Jason tells him that Joe and Ziggy are well. Robbie asks Jason about Freddie and Jason remembers that no one’s told Robbie about Freddie’s death. Jason finally tells him and Robbie struggles to control his emotions. Robbie asks when the funeral is and Jason admits that they’ve already had it. Robbie cries and tells Jason that Freddie was the one brother who understood him, the only one who didn’t talk down to him and the only one who he could look up to. Jason tries to apologise but Robbie tells him to leave so he can grieve.

Maxine knocks on Patrick’s door which Theresa answers. Maxine asks if she can speak to Patrick and Theresa invites her in. Maxine sits down by Patrick and Maxine tells Theresa she can leave them alone. Patrick tells Maxine that he never expected her to want to speak to him. Maxine says that she’s struggling to cope that Patrick’s dying despite him still having decades left. Patrick tells Maxine that his father had and that his father started losing control of his life and took it out on him. After a minute of awkwardness Patrick wipes his eyes and asks Maxine if he can forgive her for what he put her through and he admits that he was abusive. Maxine tells him that he made her feel worthless and took away her identity and she lost control of who she was. Maxine confesses that losing her own confidence hurt worse than being beaten black and blue. Maxine sighs and tells Patrick that she forgives him for the hell she put him through. Maxine realises that Patrick had dominance issues and that he wasn’t sane. Patrick thanks Maxine for forgiving him and Maxine tells him that they can only properly forgive him until he leaves her life for good. Patrick eventually decides to give Maxine custody of Minnie.

Thursday 30th

Diane O’Connor is lying on the couch in an empty flat, Patrick Blake is in his office, Tom Cunningham is drinking coffee in Esther’s Magic Bean and Ste Hay is in a hospital waiting room with John Paul by his side.

Sinead tells Diane to wake up, Diane doesn’t respond until she hears Sinead pouring the remaining wine into the sink. Sinead tells Diane that she should be ashamed of herself by drinking her troubles away. Diane tries to look sorry and says she won’t do it again. Sinead tries to act responsible and tells her that alcohol isn’t the answer but Diane tells her that it helps her forget her problems. Sinead suggests that Diane talks to Tegan and admits how unhappy she is but Diane dismisses this idea and claims that Tegan’s too ill to speak properly. Sinead tells Diane to spend time with her kids and stay out of The Hutch and warns her not to touch a drop of alcohol or she’ll report her to social services. Diane snorts at Sinead acting like a perfect mother but this reminds Sinead of Katy and Sinead walks off before Diane can apologise.

Tom Cunningham’s drinking a coffee and doing maths homework as Cindy comes over to him. Tom asks what Cindy wants until she reminds him that they’re related. Cindy helps Tom out with a tricky question and Cindy mentions how lucky Peri is to have a boyfriend supporting her. She talks about how tricky raising Holly was without a dad and how depressed she felt. Cindy tells Tom that he’s amazing for helping his girlfriend and raising a child as a happy family. Tom mentions that she has a happy family and Tom mentions how weird life in Hollyoaks village has been. Cindy says that she thinks about Tom’s parent and how lovely they were and Tom admits that he’s felt like a bit of a grim reaper and is hoping he doesn’t hurt Peri and their baby.

John Paul asks Ste how he’s feel as he scans through a living with HIV leaflet. Ste mumbles that he’s fine and John Paul realises that Ste’s suffering from depression as this is a common effect of HIV. The pair are called into an office where the consultant recommends that Ste goes to a local support group to open up about his feelings. John Paul manages to persuade Ste to go.

Patrick Blake starts to talk to new pupils about the school as Theresa operates a powerpoint nearby. Patrick starts off confidently but shocks Theresa as his words become sluggish. Patrick quickly leaves and Theresa apologises to the pupils and follows him. Later on Theresa finds Patrick locked in his office. Theresa asks him to open the door but Patrick doesn’t want people to see him unable to speak, walk or even breathe. Patrick says that motor neurone disease is affecting him faster than he thought and that he’ll be dead in no time. Theresa encourages Patrick to go to the hospital to see how they can help and Theresa manages to persuade Patrick.

Friday 1st

Cindy’s in The Hutch with a stack of floral magazines as Darren Osbourne walks in. Darren sits opposite her. Cindy tells Darren she’s still planning for their wedding and hands him his invite. Darren reminds Cindy of when they dated and Cindy remembers when Darren planned Nancy’s wedding in secret. Darren reminds Cindy that she came onto him and nearly ruined the entire thing. Darren admits that he thought he was in love with Nancy and asks Cindy if she really wants to marry Dirk. Cindy tells Darren that Dirk’s lovely and great with Hilton but there’s no spark like there was with her and Darren. Darren tells Cindy not to have second thoughts and leaves to get a drink.

Sinead O’Connor is on the sofa with her feet propped on a coffee table and is watching daytime TV. John Paul asks her if she needs to work but Sinead tells her that she forced Diane to go the Hutch and needs to look after the kids in an hour or so. John Paul asks Sinead if she’s ready to give birth and Sinead says yes but tells John Paul that it’ll be weird and hard raising a baby when Katy died so young. John Paul tells Sinead that Katy will always be a part of her life but Sinead should focus on raising her baby. Sinead worries that she did something to cause Katy’s illness but John Paul reassures her and says that Katy’s death wasn’t her fault.

Diane O’Connor is searching the Hutch’s kitchen for wine when Tony approaches her. Tony asks her what she’s doing and Diane tries to deny taking alcohol. Tony tells Diane that Sinead told him about Diane’s drinking and tells her to stay away from booze. Diane tells Tony that he has no input in her life but Tony threatens to take her kids away. Diane tells Tony that she can’t cope and has no one to open up too as her daughter’s busy and admits she has no friends. Tony tells her to get her act together for the sake of their kids or they’re leaving her.

And Trevor’s with Dylan and Nico in his flat, the three are watching TV as Grace and Esther enter and sit beside them. They start squabbling over what TV show to watch. Grace says that Esther’s baby is healthy and Dylan mentions that he and Nico are now an ‘official couple’. Grace mentions that they have a perfect family. The doorbell rings and Dylan answers it as Trevor and Nico feed Trevor’s fish. Dylan opens the door and a blonde woman stands in the doorway and Dylan greets her as mum. The woman invites herself in and introduces herself as Peach and smiles at Grace who fakes a smile in return.

Its gone downhill.
