Friday 17th
In The Dog In The Pond, Freddie and Lindsey are drinking to celebrate their engagement and are unaware of what’s to come. Zack Loveday is chatting with Harry Thompson about his breakup with Cleo. Zack questions why Harry did it and he tells Harry that a bad girlfriends better than no girlfriend. Harry tells Zack to grow up and stop acting idiotic and storms out and has an awkward encounter with Cleo as Cleo, Celine and Theresa enter the pub.
Phoebe enters the McQueen living room and finds Porsche crying on the sofa. Phoebe sits down beside her and asks her what the problem is. Phoebe finds a family photo on the table which Porsche was looking at. Phoebe asks who the man in the photo is an after some hesitation Porsche tells Phoebe that the man is called Pete. After breaking into another round of tears Porsche confesses to Phoebe that Pete used to hit her mum, Reenie denied everything. Porsche then tells Phoebe that Reenie is soon to be released and is planning to move back. Phoebe hugs Porsche and tells her that she won’t let Reenie back into her life. Fortunately the atmosphere is brightened as Phoebe answers the door and finds Myra and Nana McQueen. Myra tells Phoebe that they need to find Freddie Roscoe and make him pay for what he did to Mercedes.
Trevor Royle is talking with Dylan in his flat and is preparing a microwave meal. Dylan offers to help and searches the cupboards for a clean plate. Dylan asks why there’s an empty kettle and Trevor snatches it off him. Trevor realises that kettle is lighter and realises its empty and runs off to stop Grace making a big mistake.
Peri Lomax is sitting outside the pub with a book of baby names which Leela brought her. Ziggy Roscoe sees Peri and says hello to her. Peri continues to read her book until Ziggy mentions how much he misses Leela. Peri snorts at Ziggy and grumbles that he shouldn’t have tried to wreck her family apart. Peri continues to speak and says that she couldn’t care about Leela’s relationships and she’s glad to have her family back and that Ziggy isn’t a part of it. Ziggy thinks of something to say but is disturbed as Peri spots Cameron Campbell in the distance and smiles and runs off to hug him. Cameron smirks at Ziggy who slumbers off.
Grace Black is standing in a dark and empty car park. Freddie Roscoe walks up to Grace and tells her that he got her text and asks her what she wants. Grace sneers that this is the end, this is their final battle and she’s gonna win. Freddie asks her what the hell is going on and Grace pulls out a small black gun. Grace tells Freddie that he always knew this day was coming. Freddie remains shocked and convinces himself that Grace wouldn’t pull the trigger. Before Grace can get justice for her father, Lindsey screams and runs to help Freddie. Lindsey pushes Freddie out the way and Grace ends up shooting Lindsey in the leg. Freddie bursts into tears and comforts Lindsey. Trevor runs over and tells Grace to put the gun down. Freddie comforts Lindsey and calls Grace a ‘horrid cretin’.
Grace smirks and informs Freddie that she has another bullet and plunges another bullet through Freddie’s chest. Freddie stares at Lindsey who’s still conscious and tells her that he loves her. Lindsey replies to him as Kim, Esther, Myra, Nana and Theresa come over. Kim asks what happened and Grace lies and says that Freddie tried to shoot Lindsey but Grace grabbed the gun and Freddie accidently shot himself. Garce continues to lie and says Freddie shot Lindsey as he was dying. Esther and Kim run to get help as Lindsey becomes unconscious and Freddie stops breathing. Myra tells Grace that her story isn’t convincing but she’ll back her up and Theresa and Nana agree to cover Grace’s lie. Grace rubs Freddie’s hand over the gun for DNA purposes.

Lay Me Down' Plays over a montage as Esther enters the pub and breaks the news to Joe, Jason and Ziggy that Lindsey shot Freddie whilst an ambulance collects an unconscious Lindsey and a paramedic confirms Freddie’s death. Theresa is comforting Kim in the hospital waiting room as she waits nervously about her sister. Grace, Trevor, Myra, Theresa and Nana are taken to the police station to give their planned statements. Ziggy and Jason cry over Freddie’s passing and Joe feels numb as he tries to come to terms with the fact that Freddie Roscoe’s dead and isn’t ever coming back.
This episode marked the last appearance of Charlie Clapham as Freddie Roscoe.
