Ruby Reds, did I miss the point or was it rather dull?

I knew as soon as they came on they would eventually strip off and it was as dull as I expected it to be. I just find that whole style of act so dated and predictable, and also knew it was going to lead to the inevitable 'female empowerment' guff from Amanda. Am I getting grumpy or was it really nothing special?

I have to wonder if anyone was shocked they would strip off, it couldn't have been any more predictable. And yes, it was a terrible act. I imagine if a group of gorgeous 20 year old girls did the same thing they wouldn't have received such a warm reception.

I am a woman of a certain age and I wasn't proud of them, I was cringeing. It was awful. Who wants to see mountains of wrinkly flesh on show?

That's not an act, it's the changing rooms in Bon Marche.

Another lady of a certain age here and I didn't like this act , God who wants to see that on stage !

I had a little bit of sick come up.

Any shock factor has gone now, so if they go through, then they would have to be judged on their dancing.

....and the "dancing" was awful, out of time and out of sync with each other.

I judged them on their appalling granny pants, its a no from me !

I find mature ladies very attractive, but only when they are classy ,this was not

It would not have been so bad had they shown some ability.
They are cannon fodder for the favoured acts.

I'm watching their audition at the moment and I think that it is abysmal.

Was it because they were oldish and didn't have great figures that people liked them so much? I couldn't quite work out why they were so popular with the judges and audience.

i knew they were gonna strip..but at first i thought they were gonna blow through the rubber gloves and make some noises

Yes, I thought it was obvious they were going to strip and I was dreading it. A decent modern dance routine in attracive outfits would have been ok, but I could have without the wobbling, wrinkly flesh on show. I don't see how that is "empowering" to women, would many people be impressed if their mum or gran did the same in public ?

They will be a one hit wonder, they admitted they had never done anything like this before so it is unlikely they have anything else up there sleave's and the 'Surprise' element has now gone, they will be out in the next round.

It was so dull it made matt black paint look bright

My lady wife, who has some experience of Bon Marche, said almost the same thing.

Actually, it was rather embarrassing really and certainly had no entertainment value; not funny, not talented and not really "family" entertainment.

Amada's silly comment made me, us, wonder if she was going to weep and talk about her dear old granny again - thankfully not!

I like acts like that which take something you'd least expect and do the unexpected. I couldn't care less if they don't make the semi finals, though. Can't say I'm that bothered to see them again.

They're in the live semi finals.

I wouldn't mind but where's the talent in their act?

The clue is in the programme's title........'Britain's Got Talent'........not 'Britain's Got People Who Will Strip Off In Public'

Its funny when old men strip off in public and jiggle their bits around they are branded dirty old pervs but when older women do it they are liberating women and its seen as a talent.

They were pretty decent dancers for their ages.

so i guess we will be expecting to see them all time on tv shows..Same old act though..Dress up, and undress, strip off and dance with tassels on their bras..Very original..Madonna would be outraged Lol

I'm sorry but I don't think they were. I attend a dance class where the ages range from about 30-80 and we could do a lot better than that with or without our clothes on.

I found it all incredibly patronising. There are plenty of women that age (most of them aren't even that old), who still dance professionally, run marathons, keep themselves fit. Why are we celebrating a bunch of unfit women, as if it's some sort of amazing achievement?

They even ran to Gregg's bakers afterwards to get their dinner
