Exactly. The poster who claims we should know that Ant and Dec were first can't seem to grasp that most of us are just watching the programme.

This show is so overly produced and edited that Simon Cowell could have pressed his golden buzzer for that act in 2011.

I agree that there should be a continuity of which judge used the golden ticket & when in the timeline of the auditions, but on the other hand I don't really give a shit because this "talent show" becomes more manipulated every year and that's why it's failing.

Simon Cowell is now the hitman and hers.

I don't watch BGT any more, but Holden was on GMB today, babbling that she behaves like a fan. She said, "l even cheered when Simon pressed the buzzer, even though I knew it was coming." So they knew even before the guy came on when they say acts are unseen? Right.

Maybe he had said something like 'Watch this'.

I have wondered if the whole stage effect is permanently ready 'on standby' though.

Well it doesn't exactly take a huge leap of logic to work out Simon Cowell will go for a singer with his golden buzzer. He is a music manager first and foremost.

Or he's proving that the 'Simon Cowell pressed the buzzer first' point is moot because in reality Ant & Dec did

I reckon Calum was the hero because he emerged with his singing voice when his sister was shown to be terrible.

I'm surprised they would show Cowell pressing his golden buzzer for a SINGER????? in the 1st episode.

obviously Cowell still doesn't get it, probably too obsessed with singers making him money

and a rubbish singer too! Waste vote and wasted talent will miss out

His sister was given a terrible time. Why couldn't she allowed to sing one song all through and then be judged??

Didn't need fixing.

I understand that perfectly, thank you. I'm simply pointing out that the original post, which claimed Simon only used his golden buzzer because he wanted to be first, is incorrect. I'm not claiming that anyone should be aware of the order auditions took place in but the idea that Simon used his buzzer because he wanted to be the first to do so is simply wrong, and that can not be argued with. It's quite simple, and it's you who can't seem to grasp that.

Because she was rubbish anyway.

I thought so as well and think he deserved the buzzer I can see him going down the Ed Sheeran route.

I understood that to mean when she was sitting at home watching it on Saturday night.

An act that is clearly liked by all 4 judges does not need the buzzer.

In my mind the buzzer is there for when two or three of the judges clearly don't like them but you want them to go through.

Cowell wasted his just to make an impression on the first show.”

I think he's also okay with being the LAST one to do so too.

The only intolerable choice (for him) would be if he was in the middle somewhere and there was any chance it might not get noticed.
