I often pretend my pets are my boyfriends (even though I'm not gay) /girlfriends just for a laugh. Does anyone else do this?

No, if anything thing they are my children/babies but always with the understanding they are not humans but animals.

My missus says one of our cats is my "cat wife" that particular cat gave birth to a litter and we have one of them, he's my "cat son" because I was there for the birth and cut the cord because his mother was too knackered to bite it.

Saying that, they are all spoilt rotten.
