More of an educated guess, I'd have said (although I usually cringe when a contestant announces that they're about to make an "educated guess" before coming out with an answer so obviously far from correct, it makes them look even more daft) Also, they could have got "lucky" if the survey was done before John Nash died in May 2015, but the recording was made after that date - it was a top news story at the time, so the name could easily ring a bell.
