1900 wasn't a Leap Year - 19 isn't divisible by 4.

I learnt this one via an episode of Inspector Morse!

So it's 1904.

Otherwise yes, 1900 is in the Naughties (but not the C20th)

It doesn't matter - the rule for the last year of the century is that you look to see if the first two numbers are divisible for four. Otherwise the calendar would slip by a whole three days every four hundred years and mere anarchy would be loosed upon the world.

Actually as I understand it, which is scarcely at all, the seasons keep slipping along by a teensy amount for some weird reason so we are fighting a losing battle to keep nature in order anyway but these are deep matters....
