I've never got the hatred of the 4 non blonde song, but I know many do hate it. She's written a\ lot of hits since.

Hardly ever catch this programme anymore, so to find an edition where virtually all the celebrities were known to me (except the tall curly grey-haired bloke with Kalashnikov and the slim blonde bird with Bill Oddie) was a pleasant surprise.
As for the round concerning 'Most Annoying Songs' ....
Where the hell did they get that list from? I can quite understand the frog thing (why wasn't The Birdie Song in there?) and the You're Beautiful (overplayed) but Red Red Wine by UB40 is an absolute classic and, as a bass player, I've always liked their music. Also, what the hell is wrong with the Four Non Blondes' What's Going On? .. it's a terrific track and could well be used in a future edition of Pointless in the category of 'One Hit Wonders', who knows?

As Richard observed regarding the Toploader song, it may just be about the songs being played relentless on the radio or as incidental music on TV.
Red Red Wine sounded a bit Red Red Whiney. Or is it to do with a group who named themselves after the code for an unemployment form singing a song about such a middle-class drink?
