It was Alan Sunderland who scored the winning goal against United.

The winning team really didn't have much competition today. The standard of knowledge during the politics round was dire.

They need to decide, either insist on completely correct pronunciation or don't bother about it at all. It seemed particularly harsh tonight when one pair mispronounced Dury as Drury and another made a stab at Aneurin and only came close; yet that was allowed and Drury wasn't.

For "winning team" you should replace it with "guys" or "lads".

And they are both "guys" or "lads".

Agreed. NHS bloke said "An-or-eye" as his stab at Bevan's first name, as opposed to, I'd think "An-eye-rin", so nowhere near. The Dury/Drury one was more or less pronunciation. They need to apply to apply the same standard to all answers.

His full name is Aneurin so it was correct and you can forgive him for not getting the Welsh pronunciation 100% right.

It was nothing like any sort of pronunciation. It was a half-way house. Either just say Nye or pronounce the 'n' on the end and it would have been ok.

And I agree, if they were going to allow that, then the Dury/Drury thing should have been allowed. It was much closer.
