I can't tell which are new episodes are which are repeats anymore. I could swear I saw todays episode before because the questions seemed familiar. It's like deja view all over again.
I thought that too. I'm sure I'd seen that one before. Maybe they repeated the last one they'd shown to refresh everyone's memory before continuing with that series.

This happens every year, can't really complain, also we can't expect new episodes of Pointless all year round, they have other commitments.

One beautiful, glorious day, I will look at the evening TV schedules and there will no Pointless, no Flog It, no Tipping Point, no The Chase and no Dickinson's Real Deal. I only hope I live long enough to see it.

Is it a new celeb episode tonight or another repeat? It's got Bonny Langford and Todd Carthy.

Every pair that got knocked out did it to themselves, incredible. A pity Richard was waffling again.

At least I got a pointless answer in the final (first time for ages), "Take me High".

What? Nobody watching it today?

Mother and daughter got to the final and when asked what topics they would like, the daughter said she was keen on literature and the mother enjoyed reading so they went for contemporary female novelists. When asked to name any books by A.S. Byatt, Margaret Attwood or Doris Lessing, they both looked blank and said they had never heard of any of them.

BTW does Doris Lessing really count as contemporary seeing as how she has been dead for a few years?

Her books go into the 21st century, so probably yes.

Did they actually say they had never heard of them? I know all of them, of course, but couldn't name any of their books.

I've watched it again and they say" I don't know any of them." I suppose this could mean their books rather than the authors but I would have thought that most people would associate Attwood with "The Blind Assassin", A.S. Byatt with "Possession" or "The Children's Book" and Lessing with "The Golden Notebook."
