Well, they came up with some interesting titles, but I didn't have the first idea of anything they might have written, and had heard of none of the pointless answers...but I would not have chosen that category anyway.

Wish they would interview them before they ask the questions. Takes 20 mins for the first round. Have to ff through what do you do for a living/what are your hobbies, then they ask them again next day when they come back !

They used to do that but changed to the current format.

This happens every year, can't really complain, also we can't expect new episodes of Pointless all year round, they have other commitments.
We recorded our episode last May and it was the last week of recording that series. Over a year on and no sign of our ep being shown! Our family and friends are beginning to think we made the whole thing up...

Did no one watch today's episode? Girl thought Great Britain gained independence from India in 1783!

Yes, a poor answer, but it took me a short while to get the right answer.

They were poor both days. Students are often short on any general knowledge and being drama students just confirmed that. Actors in celeb episodes have the same problem.

At least I know my Fibonacci numbers!

Me too but I had to explain what they were to my husband. He couldn't believe I found out about these at my painting class!

'Guess who's going out first' is a little game within the show I like to play each day whilst watching Pointless and I am right 90%+ of the time.
I have watched lots of quizzes for years and I now find it quite easy to spot the losers before the game starts as there are several pointers as to whether a team is going to be rubbish - being young is unfortunately probably the best indicator.

I thought the Fibonacci numbers were the best bet, but when I worked them out mentally. I got the first one to be 143 instead of 144 (and I knew it was 55 plus 89) so I got them all wrong.

I would always go for the sports questions in the final round.

The trouble with many of the acting world type questions is that they are"name Robert Redford films" or something similar, and it's hard to know the answers that other peel don't know. I thought the literary question would be hard, and it was.

I wondered how many points bing Crosby was, for a duet with David bowie the other night.

why at a painting class? Is it that the ratio tends to the golden mean?

67 was the first number I thought of for the prime numbers question. Also got a second Pointless with Farad!

It was the same pair that got confused when asked to name an EU country with seven or more letters in it and one of the girls said in bewilderment said that she thought Europe and the EU were the same thing. I enjoyed Xander's response that she should tell that to Nigel Farage.

Actually it was India gaining independence but there you go. I very much enjoyed yesterdays show as the questions were right up my street and I knew most of the answers. This makes a change from the football, celebrities, films stuff which I don't follow and put me off the programme.

My favoured SI unit is the little used Mho. It didn't feature in the list of pointless answers though. Someone else must like it.

I'm a day behind and have just watched the "Science and Maths" final round, was that the easiest final round ever? I got at least a dozen pointless answers with the main problem deciding amongst them, the SI units one was a complete gizzit.

I'll never understand why some people go for things like "classic pop albums" that are usually almost impossible.

I discarded that as I thought it was too obvious. Just shows!

Without looking it up first, I think the Mho has been superseded by a "proper" unit of conductance. For those who may not be aware, Mho is just Ohm backwards, conductance being the inverse of resistance.

(Now off to Wikipedia to verify that! )

Edit: Yes - the SI unit of conductance is now the siemens. I think mho would have scored 100 points.

At least that works as a reasonable word - unlike the henry and the yrneh!
