So how many weeks of repeats? I reckon we will have them until September now. Wish the BBC would stop doing 3 weeks of new episodes, then 5 weeks of repeats. Why not just show the new series in order, and then show repeats? Or if they must take new Pointless off why not repeats of early series Pointless, when they had 5 pairs.

I would prefer if they took Pointless off for a couple of months instead of showing repeats

I know its a repeat (though I hadn't seen it first time ) but bit of an awkward few minutes in the intros today. Young lad trying to make an early impression as one half of a "comedy" duo leaving Alexander speechless for a moment as they move swiftly on.

I find it so confusing and some of the questions are year relevant, so you can be shouting answers that in show time haven't happened yet! Currently we are on 2010 -really!

I didn't think it was awkward?
I thought the comic pause by Alexander was great and his face was a picture

These ones have been repeated before. We've only been watching for a year or so but I remember smart arse Blake and his hat. It's about time the BBC started putting R on the programme schedules again so we know it's yet more repeats only a few weeks after the last lot of repeats. We have just had episode one of Celebrities out of 12 so will repeats go on that long?

Not sure where you get 2010 from The current repeats are from 2013. You can tell how old the are by the format of the questions in the final round.

From my Tivo box which clearly states that the programme was "first shown in 2010" (cannot remember exact date as out of my home).

But repeated last year as well. How cheap do the BBC have to be? Why not show something else? I'm sure they wouldn't be happy if I said I paid my TV license in November 2013 so I'll not bother this month and show a repeat of the direct debit instead.

It would have been difficult to show it in 2010 given it was only made in 2013. Some of the questions even relate to things that happened after 2010 so I guess your TiVo box is wrong.

The repeats are really annoying though especially some have the more recent ones that have already been repeated previously.

Watched today's episode, the two students were a bit dim, I know music can be a tough category but surely most people have heard of The Gibb brothers being in The Bee Gees, even The Gibb Brothers would have been a better guess than The gibsons

I didn't even recognise her. It's amazing what a different hair style can do.

Watched it today and one of the questions was about hymns. It asked which hymn did the clue refer to
E.G. The theme to the Vicar of Dibley (The Lord's My Shepherd) The hymn sung at Wembley (Abide with Me) The hymn that has the line "I once was lost but now I'm found" - (Amazing Grace), The hymn that had a line used as the title to a TV programme about a Yorkshire vet. (All things bright and beautiful)
Nobody chose to answer that last one but when they put the answers on the board they put up "All Creatures Great and Small" - but that isn't the title of the hymn it's just the second line that was used as the the name of the programme.
It was a bad mistake that no-one picked up on. I wonder what would have happened if someone had given the correct answer,

Nope that was not the question. No it was not a mistake, you are mistaken. The clue asked for the "TV series, with the title taken from the lyrics of a hymn", so the answer given was correct just as the answer "Songs of Praise" was not a hymn but a TV programme. Always read the question.

Are you sure?
Because it asked for "titles of hymns" at first not T.V series and not all the questions were about TV programmes. One question was asking for the hymn sung at cup finals for instance and another question asked for the hymn that included the line "I once was lost and now I'm Found"

Pointless Celebrities is showing 1 of 19 so guess we've got a lot of new shows in the bag to last well into next year.

I heard they record 4 epiosdes a dy when recording and they do two weeks at a time.
Although repeats aren't ideal you can see why they have to do it as both Richard and Xander are always busy on other projects as well.

I'm with Rroses. The question was "which TV series from a book by James Herriot took its title from the lyrics of a hymn" (or something close to that, I'm going from memory).
