Clean Bandit's new single from their forthcoming second album will be a collaboration with Marina and the Diamonds. The song is called 'Disconnect' and they performed the song live for the first time at Coachella music festival yesterday.

Thoughts? It doesn't sound like an out & out smash like Rather Be or Real Love but it'll be nice to hear Marina on Radio 1 once again.

I love that Marina is teaming up with Clean Bandit, for the same reason as you really because Radio One love Clean Bandit and anything that gets Marina played can't be a bad thing. She's needed a little bit of exposure over here since FROOT doesn't really have anything that's been a smash hit so I think this is a great move all round.

On her new album, I do know that she had no collaborations and was the sole writer on all the tracks. She has been very vocal about the concept of co-writers killing the music industry.

I think that comment was taken too literally by some publications. I'm pretty sure she meant vanity credits (see Britney Jean for an album's worth of those), I doubt she's seriously got something against co-writing.
