Your Favourite EastEnders Character - 10th Anniversary Edition (Round 3, Group 1)
Final group of round two, and I'm loving the comments and discussion going on as we get closer to the business end of the series. It's great to get opinion on the characters and why you chose them, opening up debate on characters that sometimes don't get the light shined on them in the main forum. Keep it up folks
![]() Pretty bog standard round. No shocks, surprises, well except the bafflingly high volume of votes propelling Kevin Wicks to just outside our top 8. He was a dreadful character best forgotten in my opinion, but hey, you didn't vote him in so I guess some of you must agree at least. On a positive note, what a wonderful top three... Group Five Results 01 | Ian Beale – 85.7% 02 | Stacey Branning – 80.4% 03 | Dot Branning – 78.6% 04 | Denise Fox – 75.0% 05 | Bradley Branning – 69.6% 06 | Patrick Trueman – 66.1% 07 | Tanya Cross – 53.6% 08 | Charlie Cotton – 41.1% ------------------------------------ 09 | Kevin Wicks – 33.9% 10 | Emma Summerhayes – 26.8% == | Dean Wicks – 26.8% 12 | Glenda Mitchell – 25.0% 13 | Dawn Swann – 19.6% 14 | Minty Peterson – 17.9% 15 | Martin Fowler – 16.1% == | Sam Mitchell – 16.1% == | Mandy Salter – 16.1% 18 | Jase Dyer – 14.3% 19 | Sonia Fowler – 12.5% 20 | Bobby Beale – 7.1% I liked Minty. Boo. Now things get serious. You've knocked out 180 characters to make your top 40, and over the next week you'll be tasked with getting them down to just 16. As always, you'll be voting for your eight favourites and more than half will be cut. This is where it gets brutal, and interesting! Group One Ian Beale Jane Beale Bradley Branning Lauren Branning Frank Butcher Mick Carter Shirley Carter Stan Carter Charlie Cotton Tanya Cross Denise Fox Grant Mitchell Little Mo Mitchell Peggy Mitchell Phil Mitchell Ronnie Mitchell Roxy Mitchell Sharon Mitchell Jean Slater Patrick Trueman Vote for your EIGHT favourites from group one. Voting will close on this group Wednesday, check back then for the second part of round three before coming back next Sunday when the top 16 will be posted and we're entering the ranking stage!

Jane Beale Shirley Carter Denise Fox Peggy Mitchell Roxy Mitchell Sharon Mitchell Jean Slater Nearly cut Peggy, until I realised I still had Charlie Cotton kicking around. EastEnders has a wonderful history of strong women, and I think this is probably going to be represented in the final numbers... |

Frank Butcher Phil Mitchell Ronnie Mitchell Sharon Mitchell Mick Carter Lauren Branning Tanya Cross You can't not include the longest running character, particularly after Woodyatt's performances within the last year. Frank Butcher was a one of a kind character and Mike Reid was a one of a kind type of bloke so I had to put him in there. Phil and Ronnie went in next for me, Phil again is a legend while Ronnie is perhaps one of my all time favourites. Sharon meanwhile is one of my old favourites. On the last few years she probably wouldn't get in but for her early 00's era and Sharongate period, she has to be there. Mick for me is a legend in the making and providing Dyer stays the course, I'm pretty sure he will be - but based on the last year alone, I'd include him regardless. Lauren Branning has come along so much since her alcoholic storyline that she's barely recognizable from the stroppy teenager who bunked up with her cousin, so she deserves a spot in there for me! Her mother meanwhile is not everyones cup of tea but I love her, which is why Tanya finishes off my 8. It's so tough leaving out Jane, Bradley, Grant, Denise, Roxy and Patrick but it had to be done. |
