How come Donna's working for Vera?
Isn't she contracted to EE?

I watched Vera too. The actress who plays Donna in Eastenders was much better as a desk cop. She was much more likeable. Just goes to show she's a good actress. I actually dislike Donna as she's so abrasive but the actress is fab! I suppose she can act where she wants if she can find the time. Other Easties actors / actresses do other roles including panto. I don't think the BBC can stop someone doing a role for ITV? I don't actually know how their contracts work so I haven't a Scooby.

Found that odd myself aswell. I thought the actress would be contracted only to EastEnders and the BBC, series 5 of Vera was announced in June 2014 when Donna had been in EE for 2 months. She is also in next weeks episode.

It was when she was filming very little Eastenders scenes hence why we had fewer Donna scenes prior to December and lack of her development (aside dtc's unhealthy Mick and Linda obsession)
