Does anyone know where I can find the full episode where it is all about Stacey and her going off the rails? I can't find it anywhere but it's one of my favourite episodes.

For me, the bipolar storyline was Stacey's defining moment.

Lacey Turner was only 20 during this storyline - she gave an absolutely phenomenol performance

100% agree. She was fantastic as a character and actress prior to this storyline/episode anyway, but one of the magical things about the way in which this particular episode was produced, written and directed was that it really felt like we were inside Stacey's head, which helped to enhance not only the emotion and pace, but also the atmosphere. Very few episodes and quality of storylines have been maintained after Santer's era! EastEnders was huge during 2009 and I for one feel very fortunate to have been a viewer during this era. Nothing Kirkwood, Newman or Collins have produced has come anywhere close to what we had from 2006-2009. It had the right balance of characters, sensationalism and writing. Even watching Mo and Charlie in this episode proves that supporting characters are pivotal to add realism and familiarity. The way in which Charlie followed Stacey up the stairs felt very real, and reminds me of how my dad would take the same approach with my sister's wrong-doings.

Basically, watching this episode back just makes me appreciate the legacy of EastEnders. Now, whilst in a healthier state than 2013, it is still nowehere near the heights of Yorke's or Santer's era. I really do think that a new EP (one who REALLY knows what the majority of fans want) needs to take the helm very quickly. Would I be right in saying that when EastEnders is firing on all cylinders, the cast generally tend to stick around more and don't take breaks because the material that they are given is too exciting to take a hiatus from the show? Perhaps that's why back in 2013 and even now so to speak we're hearing of all of these actors/actresses taking breaks.

I think DTC is underestimating fans of the show which is ultimately going to be his biggest casualty. The Carters have well and truly crashed and burned and it's evident that DTC is doing everything he can to try and make viewers gaze at them in wonderment. Perhaps within time, with the toning down and natural development, viewers can eventually grow to like and accept them, but right now, I think we feel far too force fed and this has ruined many characters/families (not just on EastEnders) but other soaps too, and sadly it resulted in them being axed! Wise the fu** up Collins and start giving us more consistency, imagination and less of the Carters!

That episode was so good and really thrust Lacey into the spotlight in my eyes. It's nice to see this and remember that she truly is a gifted actor, I haven't enjoyed Stacey as much in her current run so this is a great reminder for me how good she can be.

Thank you so much! I've been looking for this for ages. It is a truly brilliant episode. It cemented Lacey Turner as a phenomenal actress.

I like how they replicated the scenes of Stacey giving Jean a bath when Stacey herself got bipolar and Jean gave her a bath.

I miss Jean and Charlie.

The relationship between Jean and Stacey was always special. I wish they'd bring Jean back. Stacey isn't the same without her and vice versa, they both really bounce off eachover.

I always thought that Jean was the making of Stacey, more so than Bradley, Max, Kat or Sean. I'd love her and Ollie back.

Agreed. She was incredible. I hope this storyline is revisited, otherwise it is an insult to the character's legacy!

It wasn't a "sudden" surprise either, Stacey always shown signs and Santer seemed to know that.
