Sorry to post another thread today, and it's a bit random, but has anybody seen these 2 in 'Beautiful thing'?

I was just watching it on Youtube and it's a powerful film and Linda Henry & Tameka Empson are both fantastic in it IMO! It's so weird seeing them in it together, after watching them both together in EastEnders, as completely different characters!.

So I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this with them in it.

Yes, I noticed that. Charlie Brooks is also fantastic, I'm sure she will smash it. Thomas Law never really got to show off his acting skills as Peter, but I always found him very watchable, so I bet he's also great. Have a good time & enjoy!.

I've seen Beautiful Thing more times than I can even remember. Such a brilliant, powerful movie and the castings were all spot on. Linda Henry as Sandra and Tameka Empson as Leah were incredible. I also liked Ben Daniels as Tony! Did you also notice the actresses who play Marsden and Aunt Sal also appear?

EastEnders has a nice relationship with Beautiful Thing over the years.

I remember Shirley singing one of the Mamas and the Papas songs from the movie in EastEnders at one point!

I've seen Beautiful Thing on stage many times - the first time with a young Jonny Lee Miller (whatever happened to him?!) and most recently with Suranne Jones as Sandra.

Surranne Jones was awful as Sandra. That was poor casting. Which was a shame as Jones is good in anything else

Danny-Boy Hatchard for me was superb as Ste. He was highlighted by most critics of being the true star of the production, which is why it pains me he is so underused and wasted on EE.

OMG! Hadn't realised it was Danny-Boy Hatchard when I saw it! He was very good. Was pre-EE but never put two and two together when I've seen him since.

I saw this film about 12 years ago and loved it. It's great to see them on EE together. Scott Neal has been in Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, he should come to Walford!!!

It's one of my favouirite films and both of them are great in it. I also saw Tameka in the Madness musical our House and she was really good. It's nice to see them both on EE.

I didn't put two and two together until about six months ago when I was going through the various programmes I have collected from each play or musical I have been to.

You can buy her version online at Digital Theatre.

I saw Charlie Brooks' version in Canterbury.
