Corrie is crap right now and I have gone right off it. It's all about the writing so first thing they need is a new EP and some new writers- once this is in place they can think about axing the deadwood that still exists within the cast.

The street lacks good drama and even with the big promoted storylines (some of which have been great ideas), the conclusions have been a huge disappointment to me over the last few years and the production has failed to impress. With the live episodes due to be screened later this year, I would have thought we would have some exciting stuff to be getting our teeth into at the moment. With the exception of the Erica and Nick storyline and the Tracy stealing the Rovers storyline, there's not much else happening. Bored with the Gavin stuff, bored with Sean all the time, bored with Eileen dating and bored with everyone else wandering about aimlessly. Where's all the drama and excitement Corrie?”

BIB - this is exactly how I feel about Corrie, you've been able to express it far better than I can, although I'm sure a few stories managed to fizzle out before they had a recognisable climax, let alone any conclusion or aftermath.

They need to sort out the writing, exactly "who" each character is at their core and plan out proper long term stories that don't rely on variations of the same situation. The Michael and Gavin/Andy storyline has some potential, or had, but it's been reduced down to endless "don't tell Michael XXX, it could kill him" discussions.

I hate the way corrie do that. They seem to lose a lot of potentially great story outcomes, it's like the writers just can't be bothered. They seem more interested in trying to stick 'one-liners' in their scripts that they lose sight of the actual plot lines.

I'd love to be EP for a bit. Imagine the changes you could make. Lol
