I cant understand why Gail is so nasty to him as he genuinely cares about Michael and he is such a nice bloke and its not as if Gail has not done some real underhand things in the past ,I would love Michael to want to keep Gavin as a replacement for the nasty son he had ,Gail wants to shut her beak the hypocrite.

I agree. Yes she's in an awful position now and it's no wonder she's angry but endlessly sniping at him will solve nothing and is just annoying.

I don't get how Gail thinks that the stress could kill him...Michael seems to be getting a right temper on him these days. He's actually quite aggressive at times!
We seem to be entering new personality trait of Michael, he no longer seems like the weak, pathetic loser he was first introduced as, and I'm finding it difficult to believe there is anything wrong with his heart at all, which makes the drawn out nature of this storyline to be even more ludicrous. |

I understand how she must be angry at him for what he's done but Gail now being in on the lie and going to such lengths to hide the truth is crazy. Hopefully the writers will hurry up and get this storyline over and done with so that Andy can have a proper storyline of his own.

Good point. Obviously the doctors thought any stress could kill him but clearly he's getting worked up and being absolutely fine. If he'd been told the truth very gently before the web of lies spun out of control he might have been ok.
He really does seem very nasty of late. I can’t bear Michael I must be honest. I hope he turns out to be a wrong ‘un just like his son, then dies after Gandy reveals the truth, leaving Gail widowed (again!) |

Poor innocent Andy. He didn't only steal his best friend's identity, and went as far as to take his national insurance number.
And if anyone paid attention they'd realise why Gavin was so bitter and hateful towards Michael, his mother spent years since Michael was absent dripping poison in his ear and turning him on his father. Then he finds out his best friend is basically playing happy families with him behind his back. But it's okay I guess, Andy is a "good bloke" and Gavin is the bad guy, so it's acceptable. I wouldn't even label Michael a wrong one. Wouldn't you be angry when the simpering fool is keeping secrets from you and obviously lying? |

The scene in the restaurant last night where he turned on Gail for being short with Gavin was actually quite uncomfortable for me to watch, and the scene the other week where he had chips got a bit out of hand.....I half expected him to start throwing the chips at Gail one by one, the way David with the peanuts some time ago!!!!

The drippy loser was awful and so is the raging arsehole. The character just doesn't work and needs to go away. |

Absolutely. The scene after the failed wedding when he was very aggressive to Gail was really horrible. I'm starting to wonder if they're setting him up as some kind of abuser.

I completely understand the feelings of RealGav, and think the character actually had some mileage in him. I cannot STAND Michael and would have very much welcomed a scene where RealGav gave him the full force of his temper and told him what a snivelling, loser he really thought he was. I am absolutely sick to death of the constant whining and tip toeing around for poor old Michael’s heart. If his abandoned son couldn’t have the pleasure of finishing him off, someone should just tell him the truth and let it put him into an early grave, go Andy, does us all a bloody favour! |

Whilst I like the character of Andy, I by no means justify his actions. What he has done is unlawful and downright weird in my book.

Sometimes I wonder if they truly know where they are going with the plot or just making it up as they go along. |

I actually feel more sorry for Gail. She is completely disrespected by everyone and treated like a joke. Now we have bratty whiny badly acted Bethany going to give her grief now.

Whilst Andy is a con artist, Gail is actually far worse, and I don’t think that this is very true to her character. I do wonder how she will be redeemed when the full extent of her deception is revealed. |

I assume this thread is about NotGavin, rather than Gavin.
If so, he's not a nice bloke at all. He opens other people's mail Pretends to be someone else because he thinks there might be money in it Takes money with a fake sob story (twice, I think) Hides under the counter rather than face his ex-girlfriend Seduces a sweet young thing (possibly, but as she can't act we don't actually know) Finally, steals £2,500 through fraud, and makes the SYT an accomplice. |

I like the character of NotGavin; he comes across as a pleasant young man; and the actor is very good. I wish he had been given a different storyline as I don't see how he can stay in the show after the truth is revealed.

Agreed. Gail is definitely going to come out of this looking like an absolute idiot. Not only has she assisted Andy’s fraud, but she has concealed the death of Michaels real son and prevented him from getting any closure on the issue by ensuring he had no opportunity to go to the funeral. She is also now keeping him from his ex-wife who wants to build bridges and forgive the past.
Whilst Andy is a con artist, Gail is actually far worse, and I don’t think that this is very true to her character. I do wonder how she will be redeemed when the full extent of her deception is revealed. Like when she tried to "cover" for Joe when he apparently faked his death hoping he'd come back, lying to the police and everyone around her (except maybe David). Which of course made her a suspect of Joe's apparent murder. Then we had her breaching patient confidentiality with Natasha which cost Gail her job. I sometimes wish they'd cut Gail a break, and make her stand up to her family. I would like to see her move out and get a place for herself and settle down, and see how long her ungrateful family need her help when things go wrong. But the writers seem to have pleasure in making her suffer and it has become a joke. I know she is fictional, but still... |

He's liar and a con artist. He deserves all the grief he gets. His girlfriend is an idiot. If i dated someone and he told me he was pretending to be someone else, he would of been out of my life. If he can lie about who he is, he can lie about over stuff.

I wasn't too sure about him when he first came into the show but I actually really like him now. Never liked Michael though, wish he'd leave and take Gail with him lol

It doesn't matter how fond he's become of Michael - he's a weirdo who needed a bit of cash to pay the bills and faked his identity to do so. If he looked like the back end of a bus, you can bet most of DS would be dead against the bloke. Oh - but wait a minute, he's mild mannered AND gorgeous... so that means he can do no wrong. LOL.
