On the front of inside soap it says

"Goodbye Kat and Alfie, their shock Walford exits revealed"

Are they actually leaving the show then? I know a spin off was announced for next year but I didn't actually think they were both departing the show. What a shame if so, as Jessie Wallace is one of their best actresses. Not too fussed on Alfie but i'll miss Kat loads. What does this leave for Mo and Stacey now then?

Everything I've heard or read on this does still state they will be returning to the show after the spin off, even Sharon Marshall confirmed on This Morning the other week that they would be coming back and not leaving the show completely.

The title of the magazine still makes sense as of course they are leaving the show so it's still a 'shock exit', a temporary one.

Stacey can stay but I hope Mo buzzes off and never comes back.

I assume the spin off is a testing ground for axing them.

I have no idea if they're leaving for good or not, annoyingly nobody important or nothing official will say one way or another. I wish it was made more clear.

I agree with you so much about Jessie Wallace and Kat, they're both awesome. If DTC has given her the push as some people are saying I will be quite angry. As you say Jessie is one of the best actresses EE has and Kat is an EE legend. I'll miss her loads too.

Speak for yourself! I want to watch the spin off and a lot of people do care. Also, if your going to make a dig do get your facts right. It will be six 1 hour episodes for BBC 1 not a red button type scenario at all!!

I remember Bianca and Terry's spin-off, it was called "Together 4 Eva" or something.

Bianca and Terry has a spin off? Was it mainstream TV? I never came across it.

Also, it will probably just he called Kat and Alfie like Ricky and Bianca's spin off was called I presume.

I think it was online. It was about how Bianca came to meet Terry in Manchester.

I just had a flick through the mag on a break at work & it doesn't say anything new, just that they are off to Ireland for a spin off show that will be 6 hour long episodes to be shown early 2016 on BBC1

I for one care about Kat and Alfie and am looking forward to watching the spin-off which is apparently six hour-long eps and apparently will be broadcast, on BBC1 no less and not in anyway a red button catch up!

I reckon it's to do with them having to leave the area because the Social services are going to take the kids off Kat...... due to her mental state. They make an exit for Eire....... after getting word from Pam (the one married to the undertaker) that 'her friend' in the SS are heading to the Moons to take the kids off them?

Haven't their been a few cases recently where parents have 'gone on the run' to keep their kids?

I have a feeling they've already filmed their final scenes and will be gone within two months.

How will this work if they are going soon and you won't see this spin off till 2016.

Sounds like there will be little continuity by the time you see it.
